  1. It takes .10 seconds for the sound to reach the bunny at 40 yds so your pellet is actually only .13 seconds behind the rabbit hearing the shot. speed of reflex action to audio stimulus? .15 seconds. Unless you live in the matrix. That doesn't endorse anything, only that Stu got his holdover wrong.
  2. I've shot several rabbits with my sub 12 ftlbs .22 airgun in the last three or four months as I am trying to clear some up around a farm yard and I don't want to use my .22lr for safety reasons. Most are head shot as I want to eat them not all, some are chest shot. Several shot with front on head shots no bother, back of the head and side as well though. Obviously if you snout one the pellet could deviate or may not penetrate so... Don't aim for the snout. Aim higher. Same as if you snout them with a side on shot really. Again. Don't aim for the snout. I have yet to have any bunnies hear my pellet and decide to take it on the chin. I reckon Ultrastu has watched the matrix one too many times.
  3. Hi Lloyd. I have some off meat I'd rather not chuck in my bin as I don't want it stinking up my back garden. I'll bring it round to yours so I can stink your place up okay?
  4. If it were I'd have been locked up years ago.
  5. I know of two seperate people who have felled trees onto vehicles. One was their own, the other was an innocent member of the public. I've never quite worked out how... What a bloody stupid thing to do!!
  6. Sorry I was trying to make a joke. Does Rescue remedy do a similar thing to Valerian?
  7. I can work in metric and imperial. Move with the times grandad.
  8. I have two shotguns "home shortened." One is my first shotgun, a cheap side by side shortened to 24 1/2 inches by my dad with a hacksaw. The other is an old Mossberg 600 shortened by me to the same length with a different hacksaw. Don't get hung up on choke, I use both still for pigeon shooting, the mossberg for teal on flight ponds, rabbi ting off a quad, shooting skeet etc etc. They both shoot well and reliably kill at ranges that make me wonder why I bother with choke in my other shotguns. The resale value of both was only ever going to be £25-50 so I was never concerned about that.

  10. Don't backtrack now. You've made your ****ish vitriolic statement. You think that they don't require respect but you give them respect anyway. Right o.
  11. Stupid questions. Personally I think your comment that they don't require respect was a ****ish thing to say. Which makes you a ****. You can't see my point of view so I guess that makes you stupid by your own admission. Nice one.
  12. Yes of course I do. That's what foxes do. I'm happy to kill them but they deserve to be treated with respect. Just like any other animal. You haven't offended me. I just think you're a ****.
  13. They do not require respect? That's a ****ish attitude.
  14. You've been shaving since birth?
  15. That doesn't make sense. Your eyes aren't good enough to tell the difference between pairs of binoculars but they are good enough to tell the difference between telescopic sights?
  16. You can't really compare 35 year old swarovski's to modern Hawkes. Just like the glass has come on to improve the standard of the Hawke's so has the Swaro's. I use Bins in my job, I have a pair of Swarovski EL 8×42 and some Leica Geovids. I also have a pair of Vortex. The Leica and the Swaro knock the cheaper stuff into a cocked had in low light levels and for finer detail. Often the difference is enough to stop me having to climb a tree for a closer look, or being able to tell a roe is a Crappy button buck rather than a doe at the very last bit of daylight (happened last night.) The vast majority of the time you won't notice any difference but as with many things it's the small margins that make the difference.
  17. I wouldn't be using that for food prep whatever you pay for it. All the above are right, it's made of reclaimed softwood. Who know's what it's been treated with. Preservatives, woodseal, wood worm killer if it's made of old beams.
  18. Isn't one double eyebrow the same as two singles?
  19. I wonder who took the jam out of your doughnut.
  20. I can't understand how you can think it is acceptable to use 5's for spiders. It's inhumane man!! Everyone know's pattern kills. A much more suitable shot size would be 7's. Keep your range inside 35yards. Top tip: You can decoy them with that ball of hair that forms in the bath plug hole.
  21. I bought one of these in January and I bloody love it!! They have some good cammo patterns and they are pretty reasonably priced too.
