  1. Thanks for the ACRO suggestion. Have requested one while I wait up o 21 days for GP report. It's clear from the replies that the process isn't 100% clear. Thanks
  2. Anyone know if there is a notes section on Nottinghamshires online application form to put stuff like this in? Thanks for the replies
  3. Renewal time again. Was planning to use the online application for a change so need to have all details sorted as you cant save the form apparently. I have three SP30 to my name. One 2016, one sometime before that and one 20 plus years ago. I have nothing in my records to tell me when the first two happened. I have my old paper record that is blank from Nov 2010 and nothing else. The renewal specifically asks for month and year of all offences. I have nothing. The title of that Section of the Notes is ambiguous "Details about any offences or written cautions ( including speeding but not parking offences or fixed penalty notices)" I thought SP30 were Fixed Penalty Notices. At my last renewal I had excluded the SP30s and the FEO took a little pleasure in asking if I had really disclosed everything in my application. He had information on them and expected them to be included. What do folks think I can/should do in the circumstances?
  4. We needed to eliminate condensation from a small house we moved to after ditching our big family home. Some ofthe lessons we learned about souces of moisture dropped our fuel bills as a side effect. Weigh your kettle and know what its hould weigh for a cuppa or two. 1350 grams in my house and then dont leave a load of hot water in it after you make a cuppa that will fill your house with moisture. typically we were boiling nearly twice what we needed. Better still microwave your cuppa from cold, take abouthalf the energy and nothing over to steam away. wipe water down off shower walls and screen. Drying anything in the house uses huge amounts of energy which leach from your building, then goes out of the vents. Anything drying in doors is action as a swamp cooler and cooling your house. Spin everything at 1600 rpm or higher if you can, peg out washing nearly everyday, if the ground is drying, even a bit so will your clothes. If the basket comes in a kilo lighter thats a litre of water you didn't pay to evaporate. Washing machines run on cold cycle only, it like a huge kettle belching out steam and all detergents work fine cold. There prob a few more I cant remember but after a while they became new habits. My d/d is now under £100. Cheapy remotes for all the house electrics means everything goes off on one button, no stanbys!
  5. I have put plenty of standard steel through it but realised I had put a few superior loads through it too ( mixed box of shells) which I now think is pushing it a bit and probably wont repeat. On the topic of 101's anyone know of any uk supplier that still has any ejector hammers in stock? Have bought from US before butthey don't like shipping to UK any more. Thanks
  6. I bid generously on a 101 Action and forend only in the last Holts auction with a view to keeping it for spares but was out bid so someone out there is snapping them up.
  7. Question for 101 fans, the proof on the 3 inch chambered 101s is 4 ton ( short or american ton) which by my sums is about 551 bar, well short of the quoted ( BASC) 930 bar for current Nitro proof for standard steel and standard lead. All my other Nitro proof guns show 850 bar in the stamp. Anyone shooting steel through a 101? My Winchester pump is stamped 4 Ton, 3 inch and Magnum, but again, would only equate to 551 bar. Anyone disposing of an XTR Super Grade Lightweight, Im always interested.
