  1. So, just to clarify. On a sporter, looking along the barrel, the centre pip (if there is one) would appear as the infamous figure of 8. To use the same gun as a trap gun, the head would be a touch higher looking slightly downward on the rib, and creating a small gap between the front and mid bead?
  2. I've used this title because I can't word the question I am wondering about. Why people say that one needs a trap gun to shoot trap disciplines. It is said that trap guns are designed to shoot high.......but at what point? So assuming everything is accurate, using a bore laser on a "+" at 20yards. I then set the gun up so that looking down the barrel, the front bead is dead on the "+", together with the laser dot. If then, the gun was loaded and fired at the "+", would a trap gun (automatically) shoot high/over the mark. Or, should the front bead be below the "+" so that the POI will be above the mark? If it's the latter, then a trap gun is only shooting high because of the way it's been set up....as indeed most guns do. I hope that anyone bothering to read this, can see what I mean.
  3. Then theres..........If wit was ****, you'd be constipated.
  4. As the title, for the Beretta DT11 Xtrap. Could even swap/part ex for my left handed stock.
  5. The reason for the 20mph limit is so the police can easily catch the robbers that stole your guns. See, he's not as silly as he looks, isn't it, look you.
  6. When I can be *****, I make my own chips. If not, then I use frozen oven chips but cooked in the deep-fat fryer. First cook at 150 for 4 minutes, then when ready to eat, Second cook at 175 for 2 minutes or until the right colour.......works everytime.
  7. What is that pink stuff called that's at the top of the plate?
  8. Me and my mates used to have "cowboy style" gun fights in the garden with gats. Don't remember anyone be hurt TBH.

    Net Zero

I haven't read all this thread, but I assume that Net Zero refers to the money in our pockets. If, and it's a big IF, we do go all eiectric, the government will lose a s$$t load in fuel duty. Where from, and how do you think they will get that money back? Answers on a postcard to....................
  10. Where have the meat juices gone.....not wasted surely?
  11. You are quite correct, but when you are as old as I am, and have been pestered with as many "calls" as I have, you may understand.
  12. A couple of years ago I had a "double glazing" tossa on the phone. I made out I was very interested and kept him there for about 15 minutes. When it came to fixing a date for the measuring up, I told him that I will ask the council if they will contribute anything towards the cost. He then said that he was sorry for wasting my time as they don't do council work. I then replied, "No you haven't mate, I've wasted your time. I've owned this house for years. I'm fed up with you cold callers." He then hung-up after saying that my parents weren't married........I did enjoy that call.
  13. I'm sure I read somewhere that, "space savers" should only be used on the rear wheels. So, should a front blow, you then have to replace that with a rear wheel first, which is a lot of faffing about.
  14. I know the general rule is that, apart from your signature, you never write on your own cert'. I am about to buy a shotgun from a friend, who at the moment (through injury) has trouble writing. Is it okay for me to fill in the details on my own cert' as long as the friend signs it? Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
  15. Got this from a friendly vet.
  16. Probably not without a fire safety cert'.
  17. I still don't understand why some of these young ladies want to paint (tatooooo) silly pictures on their bodies. Maybe THAT is a sign of mental health problems. After all most things are put down to MHPs these days. Bit like every thing that went wrong a couple of years ago, was down to covid.
  18. A friend's year oid Land Rover has saved him quite a lot of money, on fuel. It seems to spend most of it's time in the dealers garage for one thing or another. He's trying to get it changed as it's "not fit for purpose".
  19. Big bu$$ers aren't they. And I think they must fly with open exhausts the noise they make.
  20. Back then, you could find all sorts in their stuff and sometimes.......not even dead.
  21. Whether in a saucpan on the hob, or in the microwave, I've always added a glug or two of brown sauce to Brandstons. Now this is disgusting. I know someone that prefers Heinz (really true) but always adds some milk to the sauce (?).
