I was shooting at this allotments about a year ago , when 7 police were in the fields helicopte over head . I called them over saying can I help , they were looking for a missing person and asked if I had seen anyone. Told them I had a firearm with me , all they said , can I stop shooting until they had gone !! anther time just close the gate and locked it , police came by stopped and asked if we are working late as I was in a van . Told them we have permission to shoot on the allotments Turns out one was into shooting and talked over a hour about shooting and guns . Didn’t even ask names or permission letters like I said a lot of scare mongering goes on

But if you have permission to shoot from land owner and allotment committee how the hell can they close you down . More scare mongering

No privately owned and I shoot on the allotments , surrounding fields & and cricket pitch . Have permission from allotment committee and land owner , so no problem with that . They all complain about rabbits and pigeons so no tree huggers here

What’s is the law shooting pigeons on allotments. They have done every method possible to scare them off

.22fac air is my favourite FAC gun it will do everything and more than .22lr my fx crown is running at 43 ftlbs now with 23gr slugs or 41 ftlbs with 21 gr slugs . Within seconds I can run this gun under 12 ftlbs including adjusting scope . I have looked at .177 air but can’t see any advantage over .22 FAC air

About 70 ftlbs Fx impact mk2 .25 Two &quarter mil dots at 115 yards

I agree with buying British , but definitely not daystate or brocock both the same company . Customer service is probably the worst you can get , sorry not probably but the worst

But you are slating ZAN slugs saying neilson ones are better but not the same weight . I have tried most slugs in most weights in .177 , .22 , .25 some work and some don’t even from the same manufacture. Like I said ZAN 33 & 35 gr are the best slugs I have tried including neilson for accuracy and deformation plus far cheaper than most slugs on the market

30 gr not that good in my gun but if your going to compare one slug against another them make sure same weight is used or there abouts

Why didn’t you try 33 gr as these are absolutely brilliant in most guns and then you can compare like for like with neilson slugs specially if you can run them at 940 - 980 fps but they do work very well at lower speeds as well

I have tried 21 gr .22 at 870 and accurate, but run them at 945 and accurate at 150+ yards
