  1. Our small syndicate decided to write off 20/21 way back in March as a few of the helpers are elderly and we w acted to protect them, at our pre season supper that we Went ahead with in September i voiced the opinion that 21/22 was done for and was accused of being even more miserable than usual, sadly however my pessimism is coming true, these out breaks down just evaporate and despite everyone’s hard work (ignoring the F wits) the vaccine task is almost immeasurable. We fed this winter even though the birds in the ground were left over from 19/20 and should be established but will continue to do so, as it stands we won’t be having a 21/22 season at all and have advised game dealer accordingly (although our 1,000 or so birds don’t make him rich)
  2. ‘ BIt of a character’ lives near here and had 2 dogs stolen, the third polite enquiry at ‘mobile home park’ resulted in their safe return, the police know who the problem is but don’t have the ‘resources’ (minerals) to do anything about it.
  3. I shoot this gun. I have better with my lead hand forward
  4. Thanks guys, gun handles differently than my 30 plus extended which I prefer, I be arms like a gorilla even at 15 inch stock my lead hand is half in the barrels when I’m shooting well as such 30 feel too short. Thanks Figgy, I’ll try the bfast read weights removed (currently bang on hinge pin) and see how that goes, if no good I’ll get some beretta extremes
  5. Hindsight is of course 20/20 and I should have bought 32 inch 695. In an effort to rectify this I see as super ext chokes are much cheaper than spare barrels. I could go for Beretta or Briley (both of which seem great in my other guns) but don’t mind paying for Teague IF they are worth it.
  6. Having had both recently, LeChameau outlasted Aigle Parcours iso spectacularly, Aigle just about made a year.
  7. I have stuff from John Shooter, Phil Ogden and Croots Shooter not a patch on the other 2 Ogden is superb, but, as a treat, Croots is worth the extra
  8. Comment about mounting blocks is very valid..

  10. Guys, appreciate advice, slightly too big or slightly too small?
  11. I have them on my .270 and they are great
  12. Marmalade are an intermediary and not a risk carrier, ask them who the risk carrier is. Avoid unrated carriers, makesure that the product is fscs qualifying and check the rca register for the risk carrier and intermediary, pay your money and take your choice. Review sites are ok but remember on average people enter 11 scenarios into comparison sites and try to fiddle insurance, they get upset when the fraud attempt is discovered and aren’t paid out .. Be careful that they aren’t a cloned firm (they don’t seem to be) and generally now that some of the shifty Malta/Gibraltar insurers have been found out and closed down things should be ok. Except for any Eatongate companies of products, run for the hills!
  13. Yep, I have pair and so does my son, really impressed
  14. I bought howard Leight ones, ok but not great and last year I bought peltor sport as which are Infinately better for not much cash. I don’t fight in wars so don’t need commtac..
  15. Montgomery sporting or Anglia sporting both worth a go

  18. Interesting comment ... to the OP, did you contact BASC as this is their 'scheme' and they presumably have some degree of leverage.. Mind you that would involve them giving a stuff about a member.. so scratch that!
