More useful that a lot of the drivel spouted on here -
Article on Fibre versus Plastic

Yes there is a difference in price, more that you need an overpowder card to sit under the wad. I pay £36 per 1000 for fibre and plastic are about £26 -
What Do You Prefer,Plastic Or Fibre Wads Cartridges?

This is the truest statement I've read in a long time. Anyone who can say they hit a bird in the rear end because of a cartridge being slower is a plain liar. -

This is because of the antiquated CIP regulations for steel shot, I guess Denmark aren't signed up to it. The strange thing is I have bought Remington Nitro Steel in this country with no issues which does not conform. Yet Gamebore will not sell these cartridges to us as we are governed by CIP -

This is an in the mind thing, if you had no idea what you were using then you would shoot as you always do -

Fibre, plastic should be banned outright this instant. We are killing this planet which is irreversible but we don't need to keep added to it -
Except for a bullet to transfer its energy through a bullet proof vest it has to have the energy there in the first place, and of course a bullet proof vest is designed to stop a bullet penetrated so the energy has to go somewhere. However as I have said before, if a shot pellet hits a bird with enough energy to cause internal injuries chances are its going in. If it doesn't have the energy to penetrate it doesn't have the energy to cause internal trauma. You are trying to flog a dead horse
-
No **** Sherlock, However we were discussing shot killing a bird, and if the shot arrives without enough energy to penetrate the skin it sure as hell doesn't have the energy to cause enough internal damage to kill by shock

I stubbed my toe on the door frame this morning, I hope I don't go the same way😂
-
Really??????????? Why is that? an exit wound is always much larger than the entry. So not only has the bullet expanded but has done huge damage on its way out. I think you are believing far too much NCIS/CSI You may believe it, but you don't understand it.

I have tried to stay off this one, but this statement sums it up perfectly. Game set and match to Motty. It is irrelevant what research says. This is basic physics

I'm on 47Kg bottles but I will be moving from Flo gas to Progas on my next order. They were £42 per cylinder as opposed to £66 from Flogas

I bet it's the lubricant (Normally wax) that is leaving the fouling. It won't do any harm

you know the saying ' If something seems to good to be true, it usually is'

That is exactly what i would do, I shoot 3/8 in both barrels of my F3 and I have not found anything I could honestly say I missed because of too much or not enough choke
-
Apologies Scully, I meant to quote Walker 570 on the roy rodgers thing
-
And if the peg was that 'HOT' then so would the barrels be and would take care of any moisture I only do it if I cannot see through the barrel, I don't bother any other time. And it is only a safety thing, not a Roy Rogers thing🙄
-
I did this exact thing with an old pump action that was given to my RFD for destruction, We loaded a 20 bore cartridge in and then put a 3" magnum load in behind it. Closed the bolt and fired it using a workmate and a long length of string. All it did was push the 20 bore shell out the end of the barrel at fairly high speed. I still wouldn't recomend anyone trying it and to always check when they load. I have a habit of looking through the barrels after every shot and blowing smoke out if I cannot see through. I had a stuck wad many years ago that left a ring bulge in a barrel

Absolutely spot on, but he won't because he is a media whore who thinks he is far more important than he actually is

Motion to Ban Lead Shot
Diss4111 replied to Perazzishot's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Did what? Lead shot hasn't been banned has it? -
I hate Subway with a passion. I hate all the questions 'what sort of bread' do you want cheese, do you want toasted, do you want this that or the other.

every cloud has a silver lining

If you cannot see the bead or muzzle you have no idea what lead you are giving or where you are shooting. I can always see the muzzle when shooting, I just don't focus on it
