  1. Christ alive, taking the urine! I work in a prison so I think I'm qualified to have had that happen, just the once or twice, didn't expect it being a newbie on here though, when asking for some advice, my take on buying a gun is obvs more different than someone else, yes I like the look of a gun, whichever gun I buy I know darn well it'll outshoot me for the next 50 years and more, and cost wise if I have the money to buy whats meant to be the best then so be it, I see it as a little unfair for people to say " don't buy an expensive gun to start", yet realistically how long will it take me to get my range sorted, hold over and under with the amount of practise I am getting now, I'm a an half decent shot and getting better by the day, each visit I see a difference in my aim, the way and position I hold the gun too. I'm not sure either but my guess would be that when FX offers sub 12 owners a chance to buy in my case a .22 barrel kit, then surely it would be no different than if I originally purchased the 22 equivalent, when as I say I want to get it up to fac spec then I take it to get it tuned for the extra ft lb? don't quote a newbie
  2. not once asked for what was the most expensive gun, I've just placed an order on one of and simply wanted to know where to go from ordering an Impact, simple friendly asking, but then get sarcastic comments from KW that probably don't even have a gun, and if they do, probably don't even shoot it, just troll on here everyday instead.
  3. thanks for the feedback mike, I'll take it on board will do
  4. Point me in the direction of the sound advice then take a look at the ones that's put me down then come back to me. You all stick together on here exactly as I said a few posts ago, you optimise the reason of forums. Only advice I see is "don't spend a that money buy a cheap springer and learn" well as it's my money I'll buy what I want and so will the next person. Very little decent advice or support have I received. Ultrastu one of very few who's remained decent with support and advice.
  5. And a ton of sarcasm to boot, was told pretty much to stay away from forums as the amount of keyboard warrior's are growing by the day, especially when someone new comes along with x amount of ££££ to spend, jealousy will kick in when they're still using 20 year old springers. Read other comments I've had that tries to put me down even before I've got the gun. It's just funny.
  6. No chip whatsoever I'm more grounded than a snake, just why do people have to say stupid comments just cos I've decided on a gun. When I buy a. 22 barrel kit the gun will remain 12 ft lb but can then easily be tuned for fac when and if i decide to apply. If you read op it's not until next month, but thanks for the support in the gun community.
  7. lolz, see the videos on yt, I'm no liar you'll see the top guys from all over test, review, tune these guns and every new top pcp out there, your response optimises everything bad about coming on here asking for advice and tips as a beginner, don't know why you responded like that and quite simply I do not care and certainly won't lose any sleep tonight over it, fact...what FX are doing with their guns over the last 3 years has shocked every other manufacturer, not just looks and design, but out and out quality and precision. I wonder what you shoot?? Oh and make them hob nobs ok!
  8. if you check on youtube you'll see how good it is in accuracy to say, 2 decent pcp rifles, at 50 yards - 150 shots, not 1 flyer, no settings adjusted, straight out the box allegedly, price = a few more coffees compared to the Impact, I don't care what people think of the cost if I have the funds to spend then thats my business, I've held it, it shoots exactly like the impact but more accurate it seems due to the new x barrel. I originally came on here to ask for advice, got a few comments that didn't agree well with me and I thought this forum **** is the worst place for me to go and ask, as theres always someone here to bring the other person down somehow or way or other. I've now got my gun, I'm gonna learn it, shoot it and kill with it just what they're meant for, only this gun is gonna be 100% more accurate than any other pcp air rifle out there.
  9. and you can exchange between calibre's, 2 guns in 1
  10. no settings hardly for a sub 12ft lbs LOL
  11. apart from windy and bezzy
  12. I have decide upon the FX Crown everyone, it has the same "Innards" as the Impact which I loved shooting, but also has the benefit of a traditional stock so I can use a sling and bipod easily, 600+ shots which negates the fact that I was worried about shot count on the Air Arms Ultimate Sporter (which I may still get) it also has the looks that I wanted, can interchange between .22 and .177 so all basis should be covered. Thanks to everyone's input with this, I may not have agreed or liked what some said but I appreciate all opinions that were offered.
  13. Very sound advice ultra, with the US being non regulated, is there a massive difference between a regulated gun against a non reg gun regarding accuracy, at the beginning of the fill and the end of fill? 10p per refill, pretty cheap.
  14. nah today, im sticking with original purchase, the gun I hate....Impact Targets at the range to start, then when accustomed and competent enough, on to vermin and pest control. they look like nice guns, some of them anyway. Good reviews especially on YT, some of the UK you tubers use them with success especially in the hunting scene, Mat Manning for example, but mainly 2 gunsmiths have said that they have rarely had many returns of daystates rifles, 1 said they had a Pulsar back into the shop but that was down to user error not the rifle, and the other mentioned they haven't seen a daystate and probably would forget how to fix them.
  15. Not really, I do look out for reviews of what I like, but doesn't everyone?
  16. Yep agree 100% but I am struggling with the 60+ shot count, some saying though they get 70, that was where my rational is by going for another gun with a higher shot count, and just take both guns to the range. s510 is so customisable too, and swivel studs, even adjustable at the front with a rail that can attach a bipod without affecting the swivel mount. thanks for the help and support, very much appreciated.
  17. I didn't really ask him to recommend, but when I was there yesterday I remember him saying then about the pulsar, well he kind of "gnarled" when I asked what it was like. because I set up the finance I now have to go ahead, which I'm fine with and the shop is brilliant in not even making me pay a restock fee for the impact, they're really cool, it literally is only the gun I need to sort, I keep going back to the AA ultimate sporter I loved shooting that yesterday pictures simply do not do that gun any justice.
  18. One from the store I'm buying a gun from.
  19. But there is something about Daystate though. I keep looking at their rifles.
  20. since the OP I've done some homework, even spoke to a gunsmith, stay clear they told me.
  21. I'm under no illusion buddy, I'm steering clear of the Pulsar and electric guns totally.
  22. omg I cant remember, it was on an hillside with bro in law just plinking at cans and bottles a few times a week
  23. doesn't every bloke have GAS
  24. if you're saying it'll be tedious due to multi shot, then I plan to use single shot trays, depending obviously if I get a gun which utilises one, but until I go and shoot with my rifle then I won't know how boring it'll get on the range, I can imagine if I shoot tight groups at certain distances, then yes whats next. luckily I have a friend who has a field that I can practise in too, so plan on small targets at various ranges, prone shooting, standing and resting etc.
