  1. I agree on the danger of non locking knives but the svord peasant is a clever example of solving the problem. Very good knives at good price.
  2. I dont think it matters to them, they are still dead.
  3. Yes I expect its invector plus so any of those extended ones will fit wither by browning or others.
  4. Good luck Danny what ever you decide. I got some decoys off you a few years back and they are getting more use than ever so you oegacy lives on through every dipper!
  5. As stated above. The little plug type choke guages are near useless anyway. But it's likely your barrells are overbored so the correct constriction will still mean a bigger hole which thelay type of gauge can't account for. 0.4 mm us likely the inv plus oberbore which is 15 thou so would throw measurement way off.
  6. Well as long as your CoP is above 2.5 which nests almost impossible for it not to be in this country, should be more like 4 most of the time then you will be spending a lot less even without the grant.
  7. Yes all the time in the bread maker. I found the nicest was a 50/50 of malted and white flower with pumpkin seeds.

That looks like a beauty. I'm a vapalux man myself but that's almost enough to turn me!
  9. I dont think it matters too much on an amateur basis how many you shoot as long as you have a good time. I've dabbled for a few years with the odd near double digit days but I've just come into a permission with significantly more pigeons so I'll hoping to up my game. I'm deffinateky finding decoying more challenging this time of year than over stubbles which is what I have mainly done before. Lots of large groups, timing and location seem more specific and decoying seems harder. Probably all down to my poor field craft so I will keep on trying.
  10. Great bags those. I have all 3 sizes.
  11. I cracked and bought the Monsoon trousers for in the hide. I managed to talk myself out of another jacket luckily.
  12. May also be interested if you could post pics?
  13. Communte of 8 miles? Dont worry about ecconomy then, get a proper offroader!
  14. You need to choose you moment and make it noting more than play. When there are no other distractions find a quiet spot like a dead end corridor with nothing exciting down there. Play with a favourite toy and when showing interest toss it a little bit down the corridor. The dog should go and pick it up. This is where its key, there are no other distractions but you, and nowhere to go but back to you. Do everything to encourage the dog back. Get down on the floor, make happy noises etc. When the dog come back encourage it up onto your chest and give it a little fuss understeer chin then calmly take the item with your command and then reward verbally with a fuss. Best not to use food and don't do it more than once or twice at this stage, remember it's just a fun game. Also don't let anybody else do random retrieving of things and when the dog has picked thing up you don't want then tobhave don't tell them off, encourage them to you and take it then reward and fuss.
  15. It's fair to say they are quite standard warranty conditions. I know many people with cracked browning/miroku stocks and the number of beretta silver pigeons with double discharge and failure to fire issues is quite high and all have had to be sorted at owners expense. The difference here is you are buying a product in a different league and you should rightly expect to be treated right by the company when you are paying that premium. I love the idea of a longthorne, although it's unlikely to be feasible for me. They do however need to stand by their product. I'm happy to pay a premium for made on these shores, but being made in England means nothing if you are not willing to stand by the quality of the product. BTW love your youtube channel! Let us know how quickly they change their tune after you post the video.
  16. In a world where its no longer politically correct to tell people to put a jumper on to save money I don't think there is much hope.
  17. If it doesn't work well hand turned it will probably work worse with a motor. If its just a case of too much effort then it may work. Check out https://www.weschenfelder.co.uk/
  18. I have them on a skoda octavia scout. 25k miles and track / field driving round the shoot everytime and they are holding up really well with lots of tread left. I think they are great in the cold and wet. Ok in the summer and actually pretty good off road if its not deep mud. I also hear the newer cross climate 2s are even better. I would recommend them although I've not had the opportunity to test in the snow.
  19. Nitro proof = standard steel proof, all you have to think about is the chokes. If they are open (half or less choke) then should be nothing to worry about. Basc and the proof houses have released info to this effect many times. Standard steel is perfectly fine for most shoots. Higher bird shoots may need to consider HP steel and some really high bird shoots may have to jig things around to keep most birds presented within 40-50 yards for a while. The top shot (by far) in our syndicate this year has been shooting 32g 5s standard steel.
  20. Yep I got the same thing. Rubbish really, I've kept the old card in my wallet as the new one won't last 5 mins
  21. Fareham Clay Target Club was a nice friendly place when I went a few years ago.
  22. I think that's fine because it's a vie of a public place or from a public place. I think issues arise if you were capturing a view that wouldn't be judges as that. Ie private back garden or bedroom windows etc. Where people wouldn't expect to be seen from a public place.
