  1. As a matter of interest, the beretta choke key fits investor plus chokes and much cheaper to buy. But back to chokes. It's not only the thread but the bore is more important I would have thought. There are various different types of chokes for browning , invector, invector plus etc etc. Likewise beretta have different choke ranges. So even if you could find a combination to cross match. You may have a lip or ridge where the choke merges with the barrel. This could cause serious damage. I am no expert and sure others know more. However swapping them is something I would never try
  2. Got to disagree there Yates. In my opinion a good journalist should do their research , be unbiased and balanced .Ask the right question in order to get to try and get the full facts. She doesn't do that ,its all about her and she wants centre stage. As an example, watch her on lunchtime politics show. She comes on and takes over. The politicians just sit there whilst she lectures them on what her views are. The fact that she does far more talking than the person being interviewed shows how bad she is at her job.
  3. I wonder who the beeb have lined up to replace her. Other than Emily mouthpiece I can't think of anyone as obnoxious in their ranks at the moment. Perhaps they have an outsider coming in.
  4. There is no logic, just like Ireland shutting pubs at 8pm. Covid must only be infectious after 8.05pm or why else would they do this.
  5. Just watched my local news and they have done a report from covid intensive care unit at Harrogate Hospital. Doctor in charge said the vast majority of people on the unit were un vaccinated. If true and if the trend is country wide, I would feel really miffed if we had to go into lockdown to save NHS
  6. Wish she would take newnights Emily mouthpiece with her
  7. See that clown Pope has made another low score again. The guy should be flown back to UK
  8. We all like a good moan, but it's nice to hear some positive comments. In all fairness whatever you say about boris and all the gaffs, overall the whole vaccine process has been a success. We should all applause the thousands of volunteers who have stepped up to ensure its success 👏
  9. I now see that she is the front runner for taking over the brief of Lord Frost.
  10. There is one school of thought regarding this. The true financial cost of a lockdown is vast. Instead of the cost of that , throw some of that money at the NHS and it should enable it to cope with the peaks of disease when they occur. This would most likely be the most cost effective and efficient way to deal with this.
  11. The problem with lockdowns is that we have had three so far and still have not solved the problem. It's now obvious that the loudest voices for lockdowns and restrictions are coming from labour and the left . However these same groups will then be screaming for more government bailouts, furlough etc. How long can we sustain this cycle of lockdown, then live with it a while and lockdown again. The country could become bankrupt if the never ending cycles of restrictions continue.
  12. Plenty 0f chatter in the media about an emergency brake. Doesn't sound like a full lockdown but just banning or severely limiting indoor events and large outside gatherings. As long as I can shoot Clay's it doesn't bother me. Ok the club houses may be shut but I could live with that.
  13. Looking at squad, Crawley,Lawrence and bairstow are our only alternatives unless some of the lions squad are still out there. Bairstow for butler could be an option I would play woakes as an all rounder for Pope and bring in another bowler But still have problems with openers.
  14. And as I posted above, Pope fails miserably yet again ! The selectors do really need to take stock of their selection policy.
  15. Yes or play him as a batsman he can't be any worse that some of the ones who keep getting a game
  16. Well here we go again. Surely there are a few school kids knocking around who could do a better job than burns at opening. Then there is our rock solid middle order batter Ollie Pope who will no doubt chip in with his 20 or so runs. What happened to our secret weapon we held in reserve from the first test, our two vintage bowlers. I could go on, but seriously, the selectors must be held to account for this shambles. Many of this team should be no where near an England shirt in any game format. If they are the best we have then we may as well stop competing at top class international test cricket.
  17. I would think a bit of tactical voting was in play ,but also add their prospects are not strong. I see labour's position as follows. Torys are the number one power and in government Liberals are the opposition in many southern and rural seats Scots nats hold all the cards in Scotland Wales is a right old mishmash The only power base of labour is in the inner cities , I don't think they have the slightest possibility of ever getting an overall majority in the UK. Best they can ever hope for is some cobbled together coalition which would be lucky to last a year.
  18. Looks like his time is running out fast
  19. It's far easier for the rest of the world to get out, than it is for Brits to get in come Saturday. Suppose that's the price of punishment for having the audacity to leave the Eutopia of the EU
  20. Just a point. I was abroad recently when the travel rules changed. I was informed it was illegal for me to return to the UK without proof of a negative lateral flow test less than 48 hrs before departure. Completion of a on line travel document. Purchase of a PCR to be made in UK before my departure. Even if I got around these rules and managed to get back. I would commit an offence and face considerable fines. One law for law abiding UK citizens and no rules for others.
  21. Well I saw an article on newsnight where they interviewed a bunch of these 'people' in a Midlands hotel that had been hired to house them. They were all complaining their free accomodation was not up to the standard they expected and the free food they were provided with was terrible. The left wing BBC was trying to make a case we should all feel sorry for them . If they don't like it then they should foxtrot oscar to another country to scam an existence. I bet there are many genuine homeless Brits on the streets who would gladly move into the hotel in their place.
  22. Just heard on news, when everyone offered a booster had taken the jab ,they intend to alter the passport system to update it. So it's now probably going to be around late Jan to Feb and you will need all three jabs for your pass
  23. Do you know, I am also coming round to thinking this the more and more it drags on. Plus a ready made excuse if the bi election goes sour on Thursday. Today javid announced ABOUT 10 in hospital with micron. Why about, surely he should know the exact number. Then also announced today, the first omicron death. But no age, vaccination status or other health conditions mentioned. There seems to be very few facts, but plenty of scare mongering.
