Do you know, I am also coming round to thinking this the more and more it drags on. Plus a ready made excuse if the bi election goes sour on Thursday. Today javid announced ABOUT 10 in hospital with micron. Why about, surely he should know the exact number. Then also announced today, the first omicron death. But no age, vaccination status or other health conditions mentioned. There seems to be very few facts, but plenty of scare mongering.

Give over, the joke is on this country if a foreign secretary like liz truss is the best person available. That stunt she pulled riding in a tank was totally cringeworthy.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread Steve Baker . He had quite a strong following of MPs in last leadership contest that wanted him to stand but he declined. He was chair of the ERG . Well educated, ex RAF and NOT Eton !! Decent bloke all round

As political parties go , there isn't an alternative of any credibility opposition wise. But do you seriously believe Boris is the most capable politician in the Tory party.

I agree with that but the party is not the real issue. It's his handling of the matter. It's just one more gaff after another. Not so long ago the sleaze and dont forget the migrant crisis, the storms have given a little breathing space there. Many people now say he is nothing more than a bumbling bafoon and as each day passes it's hard to argue with that.

What's Steve Baker up to these days. Quite liked him when Brexit was the issue. Think the only possible player from the cabinet would be sunak, all rest have had their shot. I could see relatively unknown stepping into the battle for leadership

Think there are quite a few. However one who seems to be positioning herself is Liz Truss. Personally think she is a bigger joke than boris. She was useless as junior minister in prison crisis a few years back. Her latest stunt sat on a tank is pathetic.

Think the change in public opinion is massive. The torys are a ruthless party, I suspect moves are already afoot to oust him.

My opinion is yes, cant see him lasting to the next election , dont know what others think.

I get your point. However I have no faith whatsoever in Burns, Hameed and Malan. If those three continue to contribute little whatever you do with the rest is irrelevent. I will also add, Pope is a lucky lad. He keeps getting a place and as yet I am still unconvinced .

Other than root, the top 5 are no where near test quality. If the middle order had not contributed some runs the score would have been much worse. Going to be a painful series

Ok I can understand both sides of this discussion. But many of the people demanding their human rights etc may change their mind if they want to travel outside their own country. For instance I wonder how many of the fit and young who think they are immortal and dont need to be vaccinated will change their mind when they know they wont to be able to party in marbella, ibiza etc. Without proof of double vaccination

Believe it or not, I generally agree with your views. My point being ,I still think there will be restrictions so will have to accept them . No country in the world will not have restrictions of some sort. I am one of the more vulnerable members of society and I have always taken care and made my own decisions in this on going pandemic. I still dont believe we will get another lockdown. Think we have had three and none have cured this pandemic. Ok cases drop but quickly rise. I think they are pointless and do more harm than good. Any how. I still hate Christmas

A bit pessimistic of you . Ok restrictions may tighten. Can you remember last Christmas, the government bent to the howls and pressure from the media to lallow a reasonably relaxed set of rules. When the stupid day came and went, within weeks cases rocketed. The same voices were then howling and blaming g the government for not stopping Christmas. Let's wait and see. The only thing I will predict is that whatever restrictions take effect in England. They will be even stricter in Wales and Scotland.

Really !!!! What else is it. They make life so miserable for them. They either freeze to death in make shift tents with no support or take the risk . Get a meal on the beach then 4 star hotel. Ok it's not as blatant as what's happening in Poland, but much more subtle and far more effective. If you think otherwise then you clearly are...well I will leave it at that

Dont be too hasty. France is not too much of an issue, free channel crossings and UK government will meet you on beach with fish and chips, pay for your PCR and put you up in 4star hotel till negative, sorted 👍👍👍😁
