  5. I run an Air Arms S410 Xtra @28ft/lb very accurate and quiet, usually get 50 shots per fill. Had a very good BSA Superten before same power but with a buddy bottle I had more shot per fill.
  6. Well Done.👍 Keep at it and good hunting.
  7. First trip out of 2023 on this permission of mine. I had been told there were a few greys about in 2 locations a short walk from each other. As daylight broke I was in position concealed in the trailer shed but with a good sweeping view of a line of old oak trees.Squirrel number one appeared at height and slowly made its way down the trunk briefly stopping and that was number 1.Twenty minutes later number 2 and 3 were too busy chasing each other to notice JSB heavy pellets heading their way……after that it went quiet which gave me the opportunity to watch the tree creepers, wren go about their busy day.Nothing happened for nearly an hour so I was off to the other location. A small pond adjacent to several old trees, one being an oak which is always a magnet to the squirrels. I was able to hide in the old wood store and it was not long before numbers 4 then 5 met their end. Number 6 was bigger older and wiser and knew this area could be dangerous, having shot there before. No.6 hid behind a branch just poking his head out every now and then,I just took my time and eventually No.6 came down and started routing around for acorns.A 28 yard headshot took care of him. No.7 appeared just as I was packing up and having a coffee, knocked that one out of the tree at 22 yards. Probably my best day ever so far as this is only 15 acres of mixed smallholding and I usually get one or two on a good day. Rifle used was an Air Arms S410 .177 using JSB Exact heavies,A&M moderator, and a Hawke 3-12x40 scope. Only 6 squirrels in the photo as 1 fell into brambles so unable to retrieve.
