  1. Certainly not the case at AC Guns, Hastings. You can pass the time of day with the owner proprietor and the knowledgeable gunsmith, have bit of good banter while you browse the Broad selection of guns or wait for a bottle to be filled. Always a pleasant atmosphere. No I am not connected to the business in anyway.
  2. Hi, I'm thinking about making a hamster for my HW 100 KT, I'll need to buy some threaded rod and long nuts, my problem is I don't know the thread pitch, on the stock bolts, that I'll be replacing with the rod. Can anyone tell me what the thread pitch on the HW100 stock bolt is? Cheers.
  3. Waste not want not.👍 Mix drinking choc' powder with a helping of runny porridge.just as effective as Duggy's recipe, and you can make it any day of the week. I've seen wood pigeons fall wounded, as the result of being hit by shotgun pellets, and left to die from their injuries. luckily for the pigeons I came along when i did, to end their suffering.😉
  4. Possibly eBay fees, cutting sellers profits ?
  5. Thanks for the quick replies, much obliged. Off to check eBay.🤓 Peter.
  6. Hi, I'm looking to buy scales to weigh my pellets. Advice or recommendation on suitable type, please. Peter.
  7. PS, I've just bought a Yukon xt 6.5x50 with a doubler, not fitted yet, need 11mm to Picatinny rail or 30mm scope rings 11mm dovetail mounts. Encouraging more rats /Magpies ,whatever to come in, lay down food in spot where you have clear sight of anything taking the bait, top it up regularly and wait for awhile and see what comes along once they are confident that it's safe. Not had an opportunity to take it out on a rifle yet. I, have taken it out using it as a spotting scope to look around my allotment after dark, spotted rats, fox, badger, The scope has a lot of potential, I like it.
  8. 🤔excuse my ignorance, I'm on a learning curve, what is this used for. 🤔 Not seen one before. Peter.
  9. Hi, I'm an air gun enthusiast, in East Sussex. How does a shooting syndicate work. ? and how does one join a syndicate ? regards, Peter.
  10. Thanks . this introduction was an edited version of my first attempt, which has the heading 'Hello' and I had a couple of conversations, on there. I'l need a little time to get used to this, as I have never done it before (as the actress said to the Bishop). All the best, peter.
  11. Hi, I'm new to Pigeon watch. so I just want to post a short introduction. I'm a member of local rifle and pistol club. Having just taken up air gun shooting, I,have an Air Arms s410 tdr and a Walther Rotex RM8. Presently shooting targets to develop the skill required for accurate shooting, before moving on to vermin. If anyone would like to invite me to shoot Corvids, Pigeons, Brown Rats or Grey Squirrels, in the East Sussex or south Kent border area, I'd be more than happy to accept. I, have day and night vision scopes. I'm a safety conscious ,71 year old man, non smoker. with a lot of free time.😊 All the best.
  12. previous post should have read, ; There's NO PROBLEM FITTING A BIPOD. sorry !
  13. PS, I've just bought a Yukon xt 6.5x50 with a doubler, not fitted yet, need 11mm to Picatinny rail or 30mm scope rings 11mm dovetail mounts. 14. The RM8 had the bipod on when I got it. There's problem fitting a bipod to the front forestock as it has a Picatinny rail ready to take an attachment. I was going to fit a bipod that clamps onto the barrel but it's now surplus to requirements. although it's as useful as the rail mounted one and very quick and easy to mount dismount I decided to go with the one already fitted. Photo's to demonstrate.
  15. Oh, I see what you mean now,🤓...in thepic' of tbe tdr, the scope is detached from the gun. I, had just bought the gun, when I took the photo, there were no mounts with the scope, that's why it wasn't mounted, since I, got mounts and set up the scope it has been a fixture on the gun. sorry for the confusion 😊
