  1. Dianne Abbot is diabetic they could stay in together and keep each other company.
  2. Are the RSPB saying burning is bad but mowing is fine?
  3. The bit where he says "Listen......Just Listen.........no planes........... just the sound of birdsong .........no planes taking tourists to the Gambia on one of my bird watching expeditions" you can see a tear forming in the corner of his eye, it's actually quite touching. https://www.gambia.co.uk/holiday-ideas/birdwatching-holidays
  4. I suspect that he has made that piece himself and sold it to the BBC, my kids recognised the music from some editing package.
  5. I had to go to Sainsbuys in West Norwood last night with my wife, I selflessly waited outside with the dog. I saw our local crack head shoplifters come outside take a bottle of wine out of a bag, hand it to a mate and go and get another 3 times. Panic shoplifting?
  6. Next years Toyota Rav4 will have a key with a movement sensor that goes to sleep if the key is stationary, they aren't offering it to existing owners. My key lives in an old tin box.
  7. If the ball rebounds off the hoop Phillip cracks jokes about Mercedes and Tunnels and MI5.
  8. We might need you to be a Director of our Non-Profit ltd company, presumably you wouldn't care if you got banned from being a Company Director?
  9. I would happily donate if we could, If it could be turned into attritional warfare the side with greater resources should win.
  10. because they are a non-profit limited company, if they loose they spend all their money fighting it then go into liquidation and the other party gets nowt. mind you you then could try to get Packham declared not a fit and proper person to run a limited company and he would have to pay tax like the rest of us.....
  11. Colleague of mine found out Microwaves are not safe.......not if your brother turns the microwave on
  12. Presumably dealers get a massive discount on that. I kept my eye on a gun for a year and a half on guntrader, can't believe the dealer paid over £250?
  13. If it's in Farming Montly us it being launched as an agricultural vehicle which have different mot rules etc?

    Random Finds.

A fellow Scout Leader is a Mudlark on the Thames. You have to be registered and have training fron The Port of London. He brought in the ammunition he has found around 20 rounds. I can understand the .303 and to some extent the .45ACP, 9mm and .38 as stuff that could have been dropped during WWII but half of it was unusual pistol calibers.I should have asked if he found the 7.65mm outside the MI6/SIS building.

    Random Finds.

There is the remnants of a Ford Sierra in the middle of some woods near Croydon. The trees have grown up around it in the past 30 years so you will never get it out.
  17. Thats brilliant thank you I'll send you a PM in a minute
  18. I am a grumpy old man, here is one of my favorite rants...... Modern Retailers are rubbish.... In 1988 I got a temporary job working for Habitat on Briggate in Leeds, a lady called Pat worked there and she showed me the ropes. She had started aged her retail career as a teenager working for Leeds poshest department store (Schofields?) and had been taught to make the customer feel special. I started to write a list of the hundreds of tiny things she taught me but Ill just give one example. When someone had paid you gave them the coins, waited until they had put them away before handing over the notes. Turned the bag so the customer could easily grab the handles then you said thank-you and smiled at them. Retail has to be an experience
  19. If you could that would be great. I need them for this Friday, I appreciate its short notice Plan A is having a rotten run of luck.
  20. I've got two types attending the lot sleeping over are a bit more robust so I might get them a few squirrels to cook on a spit. The Friday only lot will struggle with anything too cute and fluffy hence just breasting pigeon with them. Skinning a squirrel is quite difficult they don't "peal" like a rabbit there will be a bit of a tug-of-war to skin them.
  21. Yes thanks I did, they didn't have pigeon last time I checked but I'm doing a phone around on Monday. We also like to get stuff for free it means we don't have to charge much for membership or events and makes us more inclusive to use a buzz word. What this really means is membership of my Scout group is 10 pounds a month for around 6 hours of activities, if you can't afford it we don't charge for anything including camps. Bear in mind around 60% of subs go on insurance.
  22. Hi hope someone can help, I've posted this before but am getting a bit worried now! It's next Friday! My sons Explorer Scout group are running a "Survival and Hammock camping night" and I have volunteered to help. We are planning to do Breasting and Kebabing Pigeon on the Friday night and Rabbit Casserole on the Saturday. This is a brilliant opportunity to show 25 Townie (Croydon) Teenagers where food comes from and Shootings part in it, I am also going to explain pest management to them. Shooting Egg and Bumpy22 have kindly offered to help supply Pigeon but they are both in Somerset and I can't find an excuse to go down there for work. I've put up notices at local clay grounds and had a reply but he hasn't had any luck on his last 2 outings. I've been put in touch with a butcher for the rabbits but this is looking shakey as well, might have to go for squirrel instead. I have phoned BASC to see if they can help both me and my son are members............I'm not going to have a go in public but if anyone from BASC wishes to contact me feel free.....preferably offering me some pigeon! Can anyone help I need around 15 (1 between 2?) Un processed Pigeon to breast I will come and pick up this week, I live in South London and will travel a couple of hours each way if necessary.
  23. They could not be metric bolts you will find funny ones on Japanese motorbikes they are to JIT standards. You can also find unusual ones on WW2 machinery as they sometimes used a smaller head to save metal. I work for a company that sells nuts and bolts I, could go on for hours it's a fascinating subject......ok it's not really.
  24. Count 10 threads measure the distance then divide by 10 to get the pitch, diameter should be reasonably easy. Or if you have some nuts see which one it will thread onto. The size of the head should give you a clue as well
  25. It's strange how on Social media that interview is being portraid as Sir Ian being an arrogant bully. I thought he did remarkably well responding to an ambush, it depends on your perspective I suppose. He could have slowed the pace and asked more open questions particularly as to where some of her information, 50million pheasant, hen harriers etc., came from, but she would probably replied she was the one asking the questions. It seemed to me the bloke had to jump in to rescue her after she became flustered such as calling him Mr Botham .
