lots of great shooting round there im from near alford, loads of pidgeons. just ask the local farmer

In the area that i shoot there are four rape fields all within two miles of each other, i have tried decoying them once or twice because there are oceans of pidgeons, but it is fairly un predictable where they are going to feed. i use 12 shell decoys and then later on replace them with real pidgeons. Does any one have any tips and hints of how i can attract the pidgeons in this aera decoying by myself, thanks Stoves

Has anyone got any good place to get a kit to start on, because i want to get started but dont know what equipment i need

the best thing to do is ride round in the back of a pickup with a twelve bore at dusk, round the places where you have seen them. this can bring in big bags

The best thing for pidgeons at this Time of year is to sit in the wood about half an hour to an hour before it get dark, just as the pidgeons are coming back from a day of feeding, and as long as you sit tight out of sight you should be able to pop the pidgeons as they come into land for roosting. this is a very succesful method and as long as there is a bit of wind the pidgeons will keep on coming

does anyone have any effective decoy formations? because i havent yet mastered this.
