Four wheel drive engaged. Trolley jack under front and ease clutch up. If rear is driving vehicle will move. Repeat with trolley jack under rear.If front is driving vehicle will move.
That's a canny idea and has settled my dilemma, suppose down to the salesman whether he wants a sale or not now

Muddy field?
(I'm actually serious as I don't know of another way, since a damaged item may transmit enough power to turn things if the wheels ate jacked up.)
Cheers John and that's the only way I know also BUT a muddy field is negated in most by the vehicle your buying will be probably no where near your 'known area' to find one and maybe in summer. I'm not knocking you in any way ( because your thinking is the same as mine ) but I still don't recon its practical thus have always wondered if a mechanic has a way of doing it without the wet field

I was warned years ago for this kind of fault but still puzzled how you know all 4 wheels are actually under power on a test drive if no warning lights come on? Maybe someone on here can enlighten us all how to check?

scolari01 has been banned.
Thank you Steve.
Will you be able to trace scolar01 IP address through your back-up hard drives, and pass it to the authorities in order to get a possible conviction or would you like the message packet details before I permanently delete them?
I'll leave the option open for you for a few days until you guys have had a chance to mull it over and just PM me if I can be of assistance.
Cheers

Morning all
I'm pretty vigilant to online security but this one got me on PW so letting everyone knows what happened.
I put an advert in our wanted section for a shotcam ( shotkam ) and got this reply, IT TURNED OUT TO BE A PHISING/MINEWARE SCAM but this is how it started

We are all doomed for following our forefathers; world has gone nuts ( I even saw they want to take animals off merry go rounds at fun fairs ( for cruelty reasoning ))

Hi .
Have seen some lovely bespoke engraving from this company , fox and Co bespoke. Just wondered if anybody has used them . Opinions?.
It seems that one of the now defunct Boxall and Edminson folk is a director.
Ans while we're at it.How do you think that aftermarket (bespoke) engraving will affect the 2nd hand value (of gun) up or down.
Thanks in advance .
Jasper
Down for sure

Good and bad news lads depending what side of the fence you play.
Our Government has announced that as from July crew cab pick ups will be taxed like cars for those self employed type people who put their shoot bus through as a work truck.

Hi gang.
Just been told that my ring door bell is going up from £35 to £50 a year. That seems a big hike. Time for a cancellation me thinks.
Do they still work without subscription?

There’s £150 off at the moment on shotkam website so at £329 for a Gen3 that’s probably about what you’d pay used

Evening all, two of us have made some mallard nesting tubes today, all well and good thus far. We've now a little puzzled on the best way to attached them to fence posts and wondering if the PW fountain of knowledge can come up some help because we've made them 3 foot long and they pretty heavy so need some sturdy re-enforcement of some kind.
Thanks in advance

Wow, you made me laugh. . . . . . . . Fergus the ferret!

Every time you buy and sell a shotgun you will inform the local firearms licensing - right?
So they know how many you have If they have any concerns they will email you or call you and ask
I had an email because what storage they had on my record was not the same as what I had in practice , I hadnt changed it, their information was just incorrect so I just told them what I had by email and they were happy
As long as you are ensuring they are properly secured (which is your explicit responsibility) thats what the SGC/FAC holder needs to be concerned with
Home Office do publish a Security Manual and brief guidance documents (available online) which talks about holding larger quantities and what an RFD might need - its a bit of a heavy read but if you just look at the bits that apply it can provide some interesting information

Perfect. Thank you

IMHO the providers adjust the service with the prices, example Plusnet are cheaper than BT but BTs service is superior. So the real question is are you happy with the service you get and does it meet your requirements in regard to speed, band width and dare I say it; buffering at busy times

Some great answers to the topic lads but out of interest, has anyone example changed a 3 gun cabinet to a 5 or added another cabinet along side their original one?

As an aside and out of interest I looked at deactivating shotguns, I thought it would be a relatively simple job carried out by a gunsmith, one googled gunsmith was quoting nearly £400 pounds, it has to go to proof house twice. So we now have the situation where only steel proof guns are of any value, and fibre shot cups are the only wads available for steel shot [soon] I dont know about cartridge manufacturers but fibre shot cups for home loading are not available for 20/28/410,s,. Holts are selling British made, top quality older shotguns for a pittance. The saying its an ill wind that doesn't blow anyone any good holds, as our American cousins can buy a London gun for a few quid and USE it. Im lucky as I don't need many carts to get enjoyment from fowling etc and can use Bismuth and fibre, but those that want steel for clays or pigeon had better get another cabinet for a nice new steel proof 12 bore and some factory fibre ammo
I just decommissioned a gun and what a performance back and forward to the proof house and the certificate still came back wrong! A pal of mine just picked up a gorgeous old miroku for sub £400 which adds merit to your words. The world has gone nuts my friend

They take a long time to mature and therefore train plus they ain't called swap collies for nothing, so be prepared for extra washing/drying when you get them home as they not a quick rinse like a Labrador
