    Ozark

agreed and agreed Breaking Bad, Better call Saul, El Camino. Ozark Compulsive viewing, I was watching Better call Saul episodes as they came out and just couldn't wait for the following week's episode. There has been nothing nearly as good on Netflix since.
  2. BTW I managed to tone down the Advert content on this site by changing the settings in the ads, now I get this kind of thing: Whereas on shoot-clay site I still get this nonsense: I know, it's awful! I'm going to use the Ad blocker any month now
  3. Simple, if the rose and blueberry are small leave them this year otherwise do everything in early March. you won't kill anything
  4. As I recall you should prune roses in March just above an outward pointing bud - to about knee height if it's a mature bush. I'll be your search engine: Blueberries: Pruning is rarely needed in the first two years after planting – just remove any crossing or unwanted branches if necessary. After that, prune at any time from November to March, but ideally in late February or early March when the fruit buds can easily be distinguished from leaf buds When should I lift and divide rhubarb? Dividing mature plants This will give you several vigorous new plants for your own garden or to share with friends, but only propagate from strong healthy plants to ensure they are virus-free. Dig up the entire clump while dormant, between mid-autumn and early spring – ideally in November.
  5. OK chaps, thanks, I'll give it a try
  6. I think it was called Ad Blocker
  7. such as - I installed an Ad Blocker but got enough messages from it to get cheesed off and uninstall it
  8. are you getting any messages or pop-ups from the ad blocker?
  9. My son has just done DSC1 and DSC2 without owning a gun, he has been shooting with a friend who owns rifles and used the guide's rifle when doing the practical. His firearm/shotgun cert application has been in for 9 months now (Hampshire)
  10. I was getting a lot of busty women with big bottoms in tight leotard type of clothing, blowed if I know what they were advertising I got distracted. If you keep clicking the top right corner box of the adverts you can change the settings to make them go away, it seems to work as they have finally disappeared ☹️
  11. Mine's the thicker one I think, and it feels just fine, no shoulder problems so far. I put it on the gun nearly finished for testing, I plan to remove the 5mm spacer as this feels longer than my previous setup. Isis sent a "special" marker pen with instructions for blackening the foam - I might do this and polish the remaining 5mm plastic plate 👍
  12. But I bought one anyway 😉 I bought the Isis Xpad, I spent an hour or so fitting it, using a sander in my garage. I have been trying it out before adding the finishing touches and the results have been good. I was getting shoulder pain after shooting but now it's much better with the Xpad so it will be a permanent fixture.
  13. Cheshire at a guess 😇
  14. I last saw them in the very harsh winter of 62/63 along with Bearded Tits (in north east Hampshire) - I have never seen either since: Borrowed from the web: Waxwings are referred to as irruptive, which means on occasion large numbers of the birds migrate beyond their typical range. Some years, hundreds of thousands of waxwings will land in the UK, often labelled as a 'waxwing winter'.
  15. Good job, a very charismatic bird. I was thrilled to see some (Great Northern Divers in the UK,) for the first time in 72 years, during a holiday on the isle of Harris and Lewis during April/May last year.
  16. I guess that if you are regularly pulling Grannies you don't know until you get close up 😵
  17. Oh yes and: Q.) what's fifteen feet long and smells of Lavender and wee? A.) A conga line in an old folks home
  18. or crack it apart then glue or resin it together
  19. as apprentices we would find a pre 1941 florin and make a silver ring out of it something like this:
  20. ahem Ditchie !! 😆 Yes of course, I was getting it confused with a crown (which was not in general circulation.) Half a crown was two shillings and sixpence = 30d Incidentally, a lot of the older half crowns and florins had a high silver content, I wish I could go back and weed out the silver coins that must have passed through my hands
  21. Going upwards there was: a Florin (two shillings or a two bob bit, worth 24d) then half a crown worth 5 shillings or 60d, a ten bob note worth 10 shillings or 120d A pound note Life was so simple then 🤪
  22. We all got by nicely thank you, I remember when a Mars bar was 4d so you would get change from a sixpence and would get 60 mars bars to the £ (probably larger Mars bars too) 🙂
