  5. Sincerly I didn’t shot so much to answer to your question, but at the moment no faults during the game. This is the First Westley Richards single trigger.
  6. It’s my 1909 Westley Richards hand detachable lock, selective single trigger, ejector. one of my favorite English shotguns.
  7. Hello everybody, after 4 long months polishing I reassembled my first English gun for the new Hunting season. regards.
  8. Don’t worry, it’s not an issue, it’s normal in several Italian shotguns. Regards
  9. Regular stock in US means that is standard stock and not Montecarlo stock. In a standard stock there are two main measures while in Montecarlo stock three main measures. I hope that I was able to explain you...
  10. Unbelievable what Joe Manton made 200 years ago...and I think that inside is also better.. Thanks.
  11. Please, show us your Joseph Manton...it’s not so easy to see here in Italy.
  12. I have it on a “Facile Princeps “ A&D shotgun and in my opinion it’s very useful. Only some clays for practice..
  13. First of all you are ok...and it is a good thing. There was probably something at that point of the barrel and then the brake...anyway I think that if there was something wrong on the cartridge (long powder fire) the barrel explosion would happened 15 in. later. regards
  14. Interesting shotgun. It has a similar Royal pattern engraving, hand detachable sidelock in a beautiful condition. Very good !!
  15. Here some of my S&S in order to see the differences.
  16. The best you can do it’s to post some pictures of the forend and the action.
  17. Very interesting hunting report! About the shotgun, F.lli Rizzini di Magno mod.R2e are probability the most interesting A&D produced in Italy.
  18. Here in Italy , I’m talking about olimpic trap that I have been attending for about twenty years, we normally use Beretta and Perazzi. Two different schools of thought because the first one help the owner on very angled clay shots while the second it has normally heavier barrels and it’s harder to move before the shot. Anyway, in my opinion, shotgun has 10% importance, cartridge 20%, stock fitting measure 30% and your mind condition 40%. Guerini is doing a good job with latest shotguns. Regards
  19. I think you are correct, but consider that all my shotgun books are in Italian and all the measure data explanation are in metric and not imperial. This is the reason why I came here, very interesting forum, asking help. I have little experience on Italian and Belgian shotguns but my knowledge on English shotguns is poor. Thanks for the name of the part ( breach and muzzle). I will let you know all the internal measurements when I will be able to go to my gunsmith.
  20. A very interesting conversation ... what I was looking for.. Thank you!
  21. Ok it’s now clear the length of the chamber, I will try this my “new” shotgun and I will let you know. In the mean time I post to you another particular Italian S&S shotgun produced at the end of ‘70. regards
