  1. The one I’m aware of is called “giving up the game” I’m not on fb but the wife told me about it. @Novice might be worth talking to a local raw dog food company.
  2. Great video, pleasure to watch. And picked up a cracking tip too…..the different zero’s marked on the turret is brilliant 👌🏻
  3. 😂 trust me I don’t! I was never one for allowing dogs to lick my face anyway but after seeing what this vile little madam gets up to it has made me very aware of where she’s putting her snout in relation to me
  4. I can only imagine that she smells something worthwhile within it, it’s vile but aside from muzzling her I don’t know what I can do. Maybe some breath mints… and the wind……🤮
  5. My gsp pup knows when the old boy is going to do his business… follows him round like a vending machine giving out free treats …..to the point I’m considering muzzling her
  6. I’ve been meaning to get over to the father in laws and clear out a few more with the sub12 but work and family commitments keep interfering with the plan 🤦‍♂️
  7. I’ve taken my trailer test sent my license off and had it returned and then passed class 2 test sent my license off had it returned and applied for tacho had the forms processed and my tacho card sent out to me in the time that some have been waiting for one thing to be done 😮. it seems that it’s very much hit and miss with Dvla. But saying that , that’s always been the case for as long as I can remember.
  8. Another small update. I have been having an issue with pip pulling on the lead and taking no notice of correction so delved into some more reading for advice and knowledge from those that have been there and done it” my conclusion was to switch to a slip lead in a figure of 8 over her snout. Wow 😮 what a game changer! She absolutely hated it from the second I put it on her but…..it also totally changed her attitude/stubbornness and how she walks. Within a minute or so she learnt pull = pressure and that she doesn’t like pressure. She now walks at my side and I’m able to hold the lead with one finger (I did this as a test and hold the lead properly for the just incase factor) if she gets even a little bit ahead of my pace and feels the pressure coming she instantly backs off without correction. To say I’m over the moon with the change is an understatement! pips answer to the lead she doesn’t like…
  9. My Mate has one available in Chelmsford if that’s any good to you. £50 if you’re interested I’ll try get some pictures for you
  10. You could try “giving up the game” on fb it’s a platform for giving away/trading/ small cost game meat to people that want it when others have an excess
  11. Or the vile boil in a bag liver and onions I had as a child 🤮 couldn’t think of anything worse, and put me off for life.

Walker please forgive me if you thought it was a lecture it certainly was not. I grew up in a household of ten, we where taught the same as you with regards to wasting food, what I was referring to was the modern day culture of wasting food/buying to much and it going to waste certainly not you personally! We still shop in the conventional way for other meals as the gousto only covers 4 nights. The wife will happily fill my game freezer with bargain steak/ chickens/ beef wellingtons and any other bargain she can her hands on.

You know exactly what is in the box mate as you have to go on the website and choose what you want. My wife gets them every week as it suits our situation (she works in a high flying banking job in London and I work long hours) I wouldn’t say there was anything lazy about it, it also prevents huge amounts of food waste and buying unnecessary products at the supermarket so saves money too. * just my opinion obviously *
  14. I completely agree with you and I’ve been saying it for years! And if that makes me a grumpy old man at 36 then so be it! It’s disgusting that we have worked and paid our taxes and then get stiffed whilst all the dole dossers continue to reap the benefits of playing the system. to clarify dole dossers - those that are claiming benefits that they do not need/ shouldn’t be getting and could quite easily go out and work. NOT the genuine persons that NEED help
  15. I drive through thousands of acres of farmland on my way to work, plenty of barley about but I’ve only seen one flat spot, nothing to be seen on it. although five minutes up the road a wheat field that’s still completely green had about 30 or 40 birds on the wires above and 10/15 or so directly below going mad on the crop 🤷‍♂️
  16. Fantastic offer @mel b3 unfortunately I’m a miserable ***** 🤣😂. Hope you have some good company and take plenty of shots 👍🏻
  17. Ones just been listed for sale on here
  18. The thing I use is called Siri knowledge, you swipe up on pictures and certain things (plants and animals) it allows you to “look up” brassicas did also come up when I searched as there is a good mix of different leaves/foliage in your pictures. hopefully you get a good day or two out on it 👍🏻
  19. According to my iPhone magic it’s field pumpkin, and white mustard. happy to be corrected though.
  20. Little trick with an iPhone, possibly able to do it on other phones, if you swipe up on an image it shows all the photos data but also allows you to click “look up” on plants and animals and it then gives you all of the info you may desire
  21. Hey, she’s doing well thank you coming along nicely on leash but very much still using her nose at every opportunity. Due to the recent death of a close family member I’ve not started any sort of “gun dog” training as yet. I want to be able to give the training and her my full attention and commitment. I’m just keeping up with the basics of obedience and playful fetch etc for now. I will 100% update once I get going with the more specific retrieving and steadiness side of things. I also have plenty more reading to do to help me with it all.
  22. I would disagree with the “I didn’t learn a thing” statement. I would say that you learnt that pressure (whether realised or not) has an affect on your ability. It could give you a starting point to work from and help you perform better the next time you’re under pressure whilst shooting. I could of course be completely wrong 😑 so feel free to ignore my comments 😊
  23. The racing driver that took me round was a friend of the ex’s family. But if memory serves me correctly they have what is called the “ring taxi” basically a passenger fast lap driven by a highly experienced local racing driver/track employee. When I was there it was Sabine schmitz, unfortunately she passed away a few years ago so won’t be her. I’d be very suprised if they no longer do it. just had a quick google and it’s changed a bit since I was there but this link will help 👍🏻 https://www.ringtaxi.com/en/prices-and-booking/
  24. He will have an awesome time, I went to a 24hr endurance race at the ring when I was about 21 ish to watch my ex’s brother race….had an awesome time and got taken round the track by a racing driver too. From what I remember most people out there speak very good English so he should be fine, always good to use a bit of the native tongue if possible as it goes a long way.
  25. Good on ya for getting out and trying something new! Glad to hear you enjoyed the experience 👌🏻
