  1. You should be on the stage😂 It’s had a good buffing and has come up quite well and seems to have hardened nicely TBH. I’m going to have a “chat” with the RFD who sold me the CCL, as I specifically asked him if it was the correct oil to put onto the fabarm......as he sold me the fabarm! If it turns into a right mess then I will take it just down the road to Cannock, weismans will sort it.
  2. I have given up on it now, hopefully rain won’t effect the woodwork.

    Wet shave.

After 30 years of shaving with whatever was to hand every morning/evening/start of shift, regardless of how hung over I was, in whatever country I found myself in, the rules have changed and I’m allowed a beard, happy days. I have been embracing the beard since April, but decided to chop it all off and regrow it. It was once I had removed it that I realised I didn’t actually like my own face. Beard now back on!
  4. Yes buddy, you are correct. The instructions tell you to rack out the first shell, then push over the little retainer spring to allow the next cart in the magazine to come rearward, which is a right PITA. I rack out the first shell, depress the button and repeat until the magazine is empty.
  5. Its just over 14" with the standard pad, with the thicker pad I think it came in at 14.5" I managed to source a thicker pad and spacers off flea bay for £25 and mine is 15". I have since been told that GMK Will supply them if asked.
  6. I cant speak highly enough of the Affinity, the build quality for the price point is exceptional. A bit tricky at the moment, but i would definitely recommend visiting a dealer who has stock of the Affinity/Maxus/Velocity/M2. Once you pull them apart the difference In quality is quite obvious. Benelli/Fabarm are in a completely different league IMO, but they should be because they are expensive. I paid £515 for my affinity and its been absolutely hammered in all weathers, no problems at all. The cocking handle is fiddly so i have replaced it with an aftermarket one. The only issue i have personally had is the LOP, its short for me so I have added some spacers and it fits nicely. A bit of a longwinded answer, but i hope it helps. Best of luck with the search👍
  7. Funny you say that, as it's precisely what they are going to do. Its going to cost them quite a bit but hopefully should stop the vandalism.
  8. I was down at my local club last week and some clowns overnight smashed up 100's of clays, some traps, put the windows through on the portakabin, ripped up the DTL position markers along with throwing 1000's of empties all over the ground. The same was said about that.
  9. My maxus is a 28" for the very reason you stated, I had a go with a 30" and I felt it was very similar to a 32" O&U, didn't like it much so i went 28". Dirty pro tools sell an extra long cabinet for £115 delivered, this is what i bought to house my autos. Its big enough to keep a velocity xlr5 inside without removing the barrel. I have to say though that the build quality of my maxus is not what i was expecting from browning, the components are not finished that well When compared to Benelli/Fabarm/franchi and it has a cheap feeling to it IMO. However, the speed load is a thing of beauty and it eats up heavy carts with no problems and transmits less recoil than my other guns.
  10. Cheers Scully, that would explain it. My Maxus wood was the same but a little more obvious. Looks like I'm P#####g in the wind With trying to treat it with CCL. Thanks for the info👍
  11. Not sure, i have tried a good googling but to no avail. Fabarm USA says Tri Wood, but its not that as i have a Tri Wood allsport and it is completely different. Nice one, cheers. So more oil, less time on and remove/repeat👍
  12. Hello All, With the huge amount of knowledge here on PW could someone please advise on how to correctly apply CCL stock Oil. The Gun is a Fabarm RS12 and I want to treat it as its used in all weathers. I was advised to put a tiny amount on a finger tip and vigorously rub it in, the heat of rubbing would help bond the oil. Leave for 24 hours then buff off, which i have attempted but the results are poor. Im left with a somewhat sticky opaque look which has taken the last 2 hours to buff and it appears that nothing has bonded/soaked into the stock. I used the smallest amount of the oil, not even 1 drip for the whole stock. If anyone has any advice/pointers as to where Im going wrong it would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks
  13. I’m no conspiracy theory man but I was also thinking the same, as were my neighbours. It’s not just the case for political people, it seems that many actors/public figures seem to get mild symptoms, joe average=death sentence.

Fully agree, it’s a great film we watched it the other day all sat around the fire eating popcorn. We have just subscribed to the Disney plus channel and there are hundreds of films to choose from for £5.99 a month or £59.99 for the year. Couldn’t come at a better time with the whole family confined to barracks TFN.
  15. Aldi have implemented a max of 4 items throughout the entire store, it seems to be working. My local had about 30% of the shelves stocked as opposed to 3 days earlier when it was completely empty. I was at the till behind a bloke who had 24 cans of tomatoes and the lady on the till advised him he could only have 4 and took the others away. She was then subjected to lots of swearing and ranting until myself and another bloke advised him to calm down. Speaking as a current serving military member, we need a military presence in supermarkets at the moment, the lady on the till should not have been subjected to the abuse. Most of us have rhino skins and have been abused/spat on and worse over the years so we couldn’t care less what some ranting imbecile says to us.
  16. I have a child with a disability who’s diet is restricted, so we always have a good stock of food for him in the freezer, the rest of us eat whatever. What I have just witnessed in Asda honestly mad me sick to my stomach. Utter parasites pushing the elderly out of the way like they were vermin to strip the shelves bare. I wanted to go around that shop knocking out each and every one of them. Absolute scum that need a thrashing!

    Why do ....?

Generally, Jonny arrives on basic recruit training for either if the three armed forces after spending the last 18 years gobbing off and receiving little punishment for his/her actions. Jonny then tries the same routine. Jonny then receives attitude correction incredibly swiftly. Jonny does not gob off any more. Sometimes Jonny goes to his/her section when out of training and defaults to gobbing off again....Jonny then goes to Colchester. Jonny does not gob off.....ever again. Simples!
  18. Couldn’t agree more. I popped into Aldi on the way home from work on Thursday to pick up a bag of salad and a lasagna for tea, couldn’t actually believe my eyes. Now I do agree with preparation should the 14 day self isolation hit masses but the panic buying was insane. The lady in front of me had three full shopping trolleys, 1 was loaded with toilet paper, the 2nd full of cleaning products and the 3rd cans and pasta, £280 she spent, in Aldi! Utter madness.
