I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2012, I thought I had a leaky blood vessel. I was so wrong! Anyway NHS was amazing from locum doctor to hospital to recover. 9 tumours, 8 surgeries, 30 ish doses of chemo and immuno therapy. I now go back yearly for a check. I couldn’t fault my treatment in any way

Had my Covid and flu 3 weeks ago, possibly saved my life! felt rough the daynafter, laid on settee most of the day. One of our Jack Russell's jumped up for a cuddle and landed Square on the old meat and 2 veg. Agony, wanted to vomit straightaway. Put my hand down and felt a lump. Panic as I was diagnosed with bladder cancer 11 years ago. Trip to docs, hospital following day. Varying scans etc. Being treated as an infection. Antibiotics for 2 weeeks, second scan tomorrow to see if there is an improvement 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞if so I'm good to go, but if not then, well, I'd rather not go there. Also there may be a hernia there as well so,in a roundabout way the Covid jab did me a favour

Whoever decided they could be done in a microwave should be jailed . wash skins, dry, rub salt in, oven, leave until the skin goes hard innards scooped out, mix with salt, pepper, mayo, butter cheese. Put back in skins and place under grill

Be very wary of the ones that absorb the damp into crystals/gel resulting in a container of liquid, the resulting cocktail is evil. I got a splash of it on some tools and have never been able to completely remove the rust, it just keeps coming back

I've done a few now. For sawdust I take the butt pad off, create sawdust away from the edges or better still, from down where the fixing bolt is. That way it HAS to be the right stuff

There is little chance of the National Grid /DNO infrastructure coping with the increase in demand. Little known fact but if you increase your domestic load by more than 10kVA you are meant to get mains approval, from DNO. That equates to a standard electric shower. street light charging points would need a serious upgrade to the cabling

My surgery refused BUT my Doctor would do it privately for £200 no receipt. I explained they could do it for same as Medcert OR do their bit for free when Medcert contacted them i went with Medcert in the end

To,prove if it had s the push or not just short the two, wires at the "push" together. if the house dates from the 60s/70s look for a light switch next to the fuseboard...may be in off position. It was common back then to fit switches to isolate the bell, when it wouldn't stop ringing. Possibility the bell could be battery powered and the batteries are dead

How much is a pint of beer 🍺 where you are?
Diver One replied to harrycatcat1's topic in Food and Drink
Went to see kaiser chiefs, Blondie, Sting last night and I am told it was about 1 1/2 boxes of cartridges a pint. Going to 'Spoons tonight before seeing Kim Wilde and Lionel Ritchie. Prob about 1/2 a box in there. Equating it to carts helps in realising what a could /should be spending it on 😂😂 -
Good luck to him. One of my best customers used to be a sponsor for it, Henri Lloyd. I was fortunate enough to be classed as 'staff' and paid very little for VERY expensive gear 😊 Went from Blackpool to Cowes to do their shop for them ( and all the others apart from Torbay)
