thanks, got all the bits I need now, had to get them from other sources as Chambers only had the piston washer, most of the other stuff I needed was out of stock.
What do you need I have some spares

the tank is dated 1987, test pressure 375 bar and fill pressure 200 bar, but he as only charge it to 160 bar, the tank is aluminium and in good condition, do these need testing?
There pretty strong tanks but a test is not a bad idea, plus with the steel body valve I'm not sure they have a burst disk( over pressure safety system)

not sure chap need a bit more info! Myself I have,a 3-9x32 on one and I think a fixed mag 4x40 wide vision on the other

You have a mk1 so steel valve body, the phase II is better as it has a steel and brass combination body plus two extra grub screws for the barrel rings (you find these on the left hand side along the main chassis barrel line) and a walther barrel if yours is all phase one then it wont have the extra mods, no matter still can be a very good gun just needs some finishing.

Hello, anyone who wants to have a go on above I will have a spare set of parts, ??
Im good, I have made one in alloy (i'm sure you have seen the thread)...Question!? why do you have to wear hair curlers whilst making the mod??

Um lets see, I have a 490cc bottle if I run from 3000 psi I have 0ver 150 shot but about 90 are in the prime range, this is with a 12inch barrel in .25 @ 12fpds per shot

Think BSA got taken over by Gamo in 85?, I have a .25 SS from mid 90's that has a tight bore but my later SS (with a .25 barrel fitted) dose not so there was a spec change after 95 I guess in this cal anyhow.

Looks like mine which is .25
Thats cool bit rare in that cal!

I have one of those, makes a fun garden gun, I tend to load mine like a musket using .177 ball
-
Do some google-fu you can reference the frame number to a date.
-
I have the black star in 177, better grip than the standard 45 but there both good, most of what you need to think on others have covered, pistol shooting is quite a skill and not an easy one to master thou very rewarding because of it, best of fortune!

A lot of mod's run 7-8mm bores so just fine for what you want.

My own litttle space gun is a gunpower stealth in .25 490cc bottle is a bit of a mission to pump but shot count is epic, not the most refined gun but lots of add ons if wanted and packs down into a laptop like case and accuracy is very good, but saying that manthing is quite right spring guns can be super accurate.
-
On going project so custom mod now done its 160mmx24mm single chamber (90mm) 4mm walls so more than strong enough for a cocking aid (10inch barrel) with a press fit cap just thinking on finnish treatment.
looking to start making some spring guides etc, and custom parts for my crossman 2200 magnum as I have a 3 in 1 lathe!

The cometa is a fine gun, and .25 even in sub 12 is much over looked but very effective, I have two spring carbines and one pcp in said calibre, I like it that much!

When the model first came out I got a .177 for my youngest son. We had a few squirrels and rabbits with it, but he lost a bit of interest in it and it was used very little. Still in immaculate condition I sold it to someone on this forum.
I will be moving on some of my guns but not this one, the brum made Webleys are very nicely turned out. The condition, smooth stock and short barrel all make this a keeper.

Loved my late 1980’s webley Vulcan .22. Not the best guns but nice to shoot.
Thats what I had, think I moved it on for a HW35 or airsporter, kind of a long time ago but I feel the xocet is sweeter shooting.

Well I was in Weston buying some .25 pellets and talking gun's as you do, the guy in the shop told me of an old Webley classic he had for sale and asked if I would have a look to help rate its condition as we were talking about old classics we had owned, I rated it as a solid 9-9.5 much as he did, then I asked the price, it was good! so I thought it would be kind of silly not to as I like carbines and not had a Webley rifle for years. Once home I gave it a basic strip (stock off) still had factory grease in there so a light oil and wipe through on the bore and on to some shooting, it has a nice weight and balance, a smooth stock nicely formed with cheek piece's for both handed shooting, good for me as I mainly shoot left handed, and even with some very poor plinking pellets accuracy was pleasing, the trigger is rather good little bit of creep but the brake is crisp and easy to judge, also no safety on these so you can de-cock and really its not needed, so over all most pleased! its a very nice, simple, potent little number! (pic's to follow cos we all love pic's)

Hill's pump, I charge a stealth 490cc bottle with it, its no great task.
-
Nice to know its working for you, good hunting to you!
-
I would go for the BSA Its a collectors piece and a nice gun.

Try milbro white rhino's its like those box's of bad biscuits you can get! but saying that I have a thousand of them, due to being cheap for the calibre and the springer likes them😁
Gat Guns....remember these?

Silly toy! if you want to get serious you need a MOD1 rifle! I use mine for bell target in the back garden, the game is simple if you ring the bell you get a cider...... I have no idear what the cider of victory taste's like.
Ho as a side note I have owned the gun for some years.....
