    Pellets

Maybe they'd be ok in my 5.6mm .22 Haenel 303. I'll look out for them. Just zeroed it today for rats.
  2. Glued onbetter feet, I can sit on it for a rest now. Or carry my armchair instead of a stool Next thing will be a better pneumatic tyre and wheel than what it came with
  3. Bought myself this today for those treks to a hide. Now I can carry enough ammo and water plus all the other gubbins we think we must have. Magnets and batteries are heavy and when you can't walk far this seems ideal, 1 trip only now if I cant drive on. Less disturbance.
  4. No worries, I'm out on the Crows tomorrow too.
  5. First one this year, and only the second I've seen, does under my front offside tyre count? Silly B ran across the front of me as I was driving onto a permπŸ˜„ 601 total
  6. I'm in Stannington so only a few minutes away. If you fancy a day next week, probably Wednesday or Friday I'll find out which perms have pigeons and we'll book a day. If you ring John at the NPPC, he'll send you details of joining which would be better in the long run than a day ticket. Either way let me know and I'll PM you my phone number.
  7. Do they have hidden fuses? Maybe internal?
  8. Hi, I'm NW Sheffield, so where abouts are you? If you're new to pigeons and crows and fancy someone to shoot with let me know and we can arrange something. If you Google NPPC I shoot on their perms and you would be welcome on a guest ticket. I currently shoot 4 or 5 times a week, never hit anything but I do like the sound of the bangs.
  9. Try googling the golden boot club, if it's still in existence and you send in details and pictures they use the circumstances in promotion and safety courses, .........and of course you get paid for it, along with a certificate to hang at work πŸ™„

    Swifts

Where I shoot there are thousands of swallows, no swifts, no house martins.
  11. Yup, I emailed BASC and my FEO to ask about buying. No reply, well over a week. Used my common sense, guy came out side, laid his gun licence down on a table, so did I. Both read each others. Brought out gun, laid it on table. I checked it over, saw the "extras", bartered. Put gun in slip and in car. Money on table. He wrote on my licence, put it on table. Transaction done. Gloves off, binned. Home. Cleaned gun, emailed firearms. Firearms emailed back about 4 hours later. Job done.
  12. Whichever suits you, it's your gun and you shooting. Its marginally quicker to reload top barrel so some go for that first. As for choke, most open first, tighter second. But...theres always a but, you can always use the barrel selector if you want to go the other way πŸ™‚
  13. My nearest is Darley Dale, the staff are rude and uncooperative so I refuse to give them any business.
  14. Lots of experience and knowledge, but I bet he bent your ear for at least an hourπŸ™‚
  15. If you would consider splitting them I would be interested in 1 x skeet extended, or as an alternative both the 1/4 super extended.
  16. I'll check before I even leave the house, I've no intention of damaging my pride and joy. Thanks for the heads up. I know mine is proofed for super steel and as its relatively new I guess they just up the ratings. Bit like when I bought a caravan and its was plated for carrying X and I wanted more so for a little more cash they supplied a new upgraded weight plate to carry X+.πŸ˜‰
  17. Nice to know somewhere else opening. Just googled it as I don't know it. Might be ok when I'm down that way for a few days fishing πŸ‘ https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&client=ms-android-samsung-ga-rev1&source=android-browser&q=grimesthorpe+shooting+ground
  18. Much more fun reading, I miss comics like that, Victor & Dandy.
  19. No only plastic. He sold the paper cases to a dealer for Β£5.00, was told that's all they're worthπŸ™„ Lovely 16m fishing pole plus extension missing its top sections, make a brilliant lofting pole
