  1. Is it a flat or curved end to the stock?
  2. Easy to do with any video editing software. We use Macs for work and hence iMovie, comes preinstalled and is great to use.
  3. My mate @worrall26has just fixed an old magnet up with a new motor. He changed the mount as it was originally an in-line motor but switched it to side mounted. Hopefully he will be able to advise.
  4. Depends what you mean by “don’t need a certificate” - you don’t have to be granted a SGC just have access to one. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1988/45/section/5 Subsection 5(2) of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988 states that a person can only purchase shotgun cartridge if he “produces a certificate authorising another person to possess such
a gun together with that person’s written authority to purchase the ammunition on his behalf”. The 1988 Act May have been superseded but in my layman’s mind I will go with that until shown other legislation. Full text: (1)This section applies to ammunition to which section 1 of the principal Act does not apply and which is capable of being used in a shot gun or in a smooth-bore gun to which that section applies. (2)It is an offence for a person to sell any such ammunition to another person in the United Kingdom who is neither a registered firearms dealer nor a person who sells such ammunition by way of trade or business unless that other person— (a)produces a certificate authorising him to possess a gun of a kind mentioned in subsection (1) above; or (b)shows that he is by virtue of that Act or this Act entitled to have possession of such a gun without holding a certificate; or (c)produces a certificate authorising another person to possess such a gun, together with that person’s written authority to purchase the ammunition on his behalf. (3)An offence under this section shall be punishable on summary conviction with imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or both.
  5. Have you not seen the number of government ministers etc being dragged onto grouse moors and shoots, countless meetings etc? Just because you can’t see the feet paddling furiously under water you can’t assume the duck is fortuitously drifting towards the bread.
  6. @Conor O'Gorman Forgot to say, good work BASC - looks like there has been some successful campaigning. Well done to all those involved. Also, I got the email with Duncan Thomas’s et al telephone number for emergency support for over the weekend. Very good effort to make sure people could get the advice directly.
  7. Yes if weather is like today I will be calling my wife to fetch me cold bottles of beer whilst I’m in the hide 😎
  8. Waiting to see how the Welsh Labour gov react in the next few days after the negative publicity in mainstream media of the Tory support for fieldsports. I hope they don’t use it as an opportunity to score political points by being contrary on shooting, but would not be surprised if they do. Hmmmffrrpphhh.
  9. My house backs onto appx 4/500 acres of beans this year, last year it was wheat. I obviously watch it 365 and will be shooting it in a few weeks but over the summer as ever we have been driving all over to find the birds.
  10. I’ve got a SAK, cheap but if my ears aren’t deceiving me the bullet crack makes more noise than the muzzle. I’ve no issues at all with the SAK but as it is .22 bore must have some inefficiency. I would probably go for a calibre diameter specific centre fire rated moderator if I had the money to spare in all honesty. Some test results from Shooting Times .17HMR dBr: Whisper 23.3dB, SAK 26.9dB, SM11 28.6dB and LEI 27.5dB
  11. How many acres of arable land do you shoot over and what are the crops? Pigeons really are not a complicated creature. Spend more of your time getting further arable land to shoot over and less concerning yourself with the behaviour of pigeons. If you spend time watching and shooting them you will learn all you need to.

Yes same for me and it is becoming tedious.
  13. It was more the package... three stocks including a fully adjustable one, nice case and ten chokes.
  14. Not in the UK unfortunately, firearms owners have to be very safe and cautious. No firearm is ever left loaded, so you are piling a knife on someone who is holding a metal tube. Also a lot of the men who shoot are elderly and unfit, many pensioners. I have always been told that if you have a firearm stolen you may to lose your license - doubling the distress. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-sussex-35657592
  15. Great day considering slim pickings on offer. Amazed the turnips are so productive.
  16. First time in my life I’ve wished I was left handed
  17. The stubble shot 112 in last week didn’t have a single bird on it this week when checked three times. Ended up packing up after 7 kills with 8 shots yesterday on another new stubble. You have to be in the right place at the right time and have enough permission to be able to do so.

I am still finding the contrast on the forum very harsh on my eyes, using an iPhone.
  19. I doubt it. The EU already had a free trade (zero tariff) deal with Japan 🙈🙈🙈🙈 As we are still operating under that from within the EU during transition, what we have managed to broker is to stay on the same footing. Prices will stay the same, if not get worse is most likely.
  20. Great result, good five hours of sport. I had a poor day, 7 birds for 8 shots within 40 mins but was slow and so packed up to find somewhere better. Didn’t shoot another pigeon all day. Lots of fresh cut wheat but they are favouring other field. Ah well.
