  1. Hats off to the club’s committee and it’s bravery.
  2. I’ve asked, others have too. I should of made that clear The few times I’ve been the reward was watching the sunrise and the waking of the wildlife.
  3. See if you can speak to the range warden/staff. Depending on the layout of ranges etc there’s usually a workaround. I’m a probationer, the offers are slim pickings judging by the WhatsApp group. One guy was quite willing to help but we both have young kids/families and full time jobs so timing is key. Others who were meant to be helping seemingly weren’t. I’m left feeling it was a waste of a wait and fee sadly.
  4. I checked, the yeoman doesn’t, asi confirmed. I had that problem in the past with a XXV. I can knock a tool up in work easy enough. Hopefully it should prove straight forward….tempting fate 🤣
  5. I nearly went for the matador but I had a bad experience with an AYA single trigger before so kept away. This was the beaver tail yeoman. No2 son is very happy with it. I doubt I’ll go the auction route again if I’m honest, glad you’re happy with yours.
  6. For info, I've just got off the phone to the tech dept(which usually bears no fruit) and had a great conversation and an offer of further help/advice should it be required for fitting. £24 later and I(son) should be back in business if the disc plays ball!
  7. Cheers guys, I can machine up a tool to get the disc out if need be. I thought the striker/pin may need fitting. Thanks
  8. I’ve got a yeoman that seems to have lost/ate it’s firing pin. What is the rough cost for a replacement? Thanks
  9. This is why boxing loses its viewers, the trash talk to build ppv makes it worse.
  10. Good to know, thanks for the reply. He’ll be using it in geese too at only sensible ranges.
  11. It’s stamped as 900kg proof and has fairly open chokes 2 3/4 chamber. Good to hear, I’ve been been on the lookout for it for a while, what have you put through yours ? I’ve got some 32g 3’s super steel I was going to let him use. It’s a little loose so will need attention soon but I got it for little money.
  12. Well the nipper has had two days using my sxs, shot well enough and as such I've got him a summer project. An AYA pistolgrip beavertail Yeoman. It needs some tidying up however I feel he'll learn a fair amount from doing it. Before that though we have one last day on our shoot where he'll get the chance to try it. I cannot wait for Saturday. I’ve already emailed ASI to see if they can source a replacement buttplate as it’s cracked and any info they have in the archive.

Plus the bridge building company/council have yet to fulfil the promise to the local wildfowling club.
  14. Great offer, I hope it ends up in a home that will make good use of it.
  15. I got a sxs for son no2 as he’s been using mine and enjoying it. I can’t wait for it to arrive, he should get at least a day before the season ends fingers crossed.
  16. 100% merino. I’ve been issued army kit but reach for merino every time. Aldi/decathlon do it for the budget version, icebreaker for those more flush with cash. The fit is paramount, as is many thin layers.
  17. 100% on both counts, the latter being more accurate for so many things.....been there thrown that. Now serve them the food to launch all over the shop 5 seconds later 🤣

Zabala, someone on here has one similar. They proofed them for steel after a certain date but its the same gun. V front heavy though.
  19. Another payday, I wish them well for the money and hope they remain safe once it's over. far too often these fights happen when the individuals are past what was their best. Calzaghe v Jones Jr, Mayweather Pac being a couple that come to mind.
  20. I'm go with current taught practice, no offence taken pal.🙂 My knowledge is from a CMT1 in the forces(so clearly not aimed at joe bloggs in the street) and as you say there are caveats you touch upon which I should of put on my original post.
  21. The general guidance is bang a CAT-T on, then the bandages....over 10 mins release the CAT and check for bleeding out(more than likely unless you're the character Wolverine). To make them work effectively you really need to crank the windlass especially if the limb is a two bone affair ie lower limb. Venous bleed should be ok with emergency bandage depending on the severity. As for pouches etc look to Jayjays/Dixies corner or for an ifak pouch if its MTP you want.
  22. Depends on the situation and the knowledge of the first aid giver. If the bloods flowing(arterial) then you want that stopping quick smart. Worry about any damage later.
