  1. I did think that but just wanted to be sure... Thanks πŸ‘πŸ»
  2. Guys, I am new to pigeon shooting so please forgive me if this is a stupid question.... I was out the out the other day and started off with a few shell decoys and a pair of pro-flaps on a magnet. As I shot birds I was added them to the magnet, then flapper & cradles etc to build the pattern as most people suggest. When I came to pack up i noticed that the birds on the magnet (which had been out for 3-4 hours) where stiff compared to the others, which has been shot later in the day, and it got me thinking; can you still eat the dead birds that you use as decoys? Again sorry if this is a stupid / obvious question but I just want to make sure that any meat I use is safe and that pigeons are not wasted unnecessarily. Many thanks

  6. Hi guys, I need some advice.... The farmer has asked me to sort out the Jackdaws on the farm as they have been causing problems around the farmhouse. I’ve been watching them and they mainly seem to feed in the paddocks when the horses are out, which at the moment they are out in the afternoon then taken in the next morning. I went up there this evening and there were around 200 of them across several paddocks. I shot the first one in the head with my AA510 from about 25yds and it dropped like a stone. One of it’s mates must have clocked what happened and sent out a death call, with that the whole flock lifted from every paddock and headed off to the trees, not to be seen again for the rest of the evening. At this rate it will take a long time to put a dent in the numbers if I can only take one at a time, so I wondering if there is a better/more productive way of reducing their numbers? thanks in advance

  14. Hi guys, Friends of mine have found that they now have about 20-30 bats living in their roof space and are concerned of the health implications of their small children as there are now a large amount of droppings on the patio. Is the a safe and respectful way of encouraging the bats to reside somewhere else? kind regards

  24. Thanks good idea πŸ‘πŸ» Thanks for the advice πŸ‘πŸ» I am always a believer that if you buy cheap you end up buying twice so I am happy to spend a reasonable amount on some kit that will perform and stand the test of time. Ideally I would also like to move up to the big boys toys at some point and it would be usefully to have a kit that works in all situation. But, until I secure a permission with a problem that requires a FAC that will not happen, and who knows if or how long that could be πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
