  1. I thought about doing this with a 12g . Are they much louder than a full length moderator and do you know if the moderator is screwed in like a choke or are they slid over and fixed to the barrel?
  2. I have a yildiz single barrel 410 hushpower which is similar to the one you have put in the link. Its as quiet as an air rifle with the lyalvale express magnasonic 17g 5's. Ideal for shooting rats. I have also shot crows at 25-30 yards using hull high phesant cartridges as they are harder hitting but as expected they are alot louder than the lyalvale
  3. Ok no problem. Thanks anyway.
  4. Im in the midlands so unfortunately its abit far unless you would consider sending it via the rfd ?
  5. Hi . Im looking for a single barrel baikal 12g hushpower. Please let me know if you have one available. Thanks. Wayne.

    Rifle Sling

Does anyone make and sell paracord gun slings ? I am looking for a nice sling in the same sort of design as the one's in the pictures. The only ones i can seem to find online have an adjustable section on. Thanks.
  8. Thank you all for your help and advice . I will stick to the moderator that is on the gun and go from there. 👍
  9. Can anyone verify the make and model of this moderator? Im looking into buying my first 22lr and have seen a cz452 that i quite like the look of. The shop selling the rifle can't confirm what moderator is on the gun as it has no details on it. I would like the rifle to be as quiet as possible due to the permission it is going to be shot on. Would it be worth buying a gun on its own and then buying a decent moderator separately? And is there much of a noise reduction between a £30 moderator and a £150 moderator or is it dependent on the ammunition used? Any help would me very much appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Did you have any look finding a replacement stock ? Im currently looking for a replacement too . Thanks.
  11. When is something like that likely to happen. Is it when the gun is put down or if it gets a knock during transportation ? Surly that couldnt be caused by just shooting the gun ?
  12. The one I've seen is a left handed grade 5 30" . Will be used for sporting clays 99% of the time . What started all this was when i went to have my b725 fitted . The gunsmiths advised against spending the money on permanent changes on the b725 as they can be unreliable and possibly not a gun that would last me a long time. He said i might be better off having a look at a 525 or miroku mk38 as they are very reliable and well made. But as of yet i havent seen that i like the look of . This mk70 has recently came up for sale and im quite interested in going to look at it.
  13. Thanks mate. Im after something that is going to be bomb proof and is going to last me without having to spend on maintenance all the time. By the looks of it the mirouk ticks all the boxes.
  14. Ok thank you . The serial # ends in MR so if my research is correct it was made in 2007.
  15. Thank you for the information its really appreciated. If i decide to go and have a look at it i will keep your comments in mind.👍
  16. Hi does anyone shoot a miroku mk70 . Im looking into changing my browning 725 for something with a higher grade wood and have came across a nice looking mk70. Before the 3hr round trip to view the gun in person, I'd like to know peoples opinions on them and if there is anything to look out for. Thanks.
  17. I haven't pattern tested the original ds chokes . But it seems to me that the majority of people on the forums rate the after market chokes alot more than the originals. Like yourself i can imagine browning would have done alot of testing and wouldn't produce substandard equipment. That's why im interested in different people's opinions and views on the after market ones.
  18. I have been looking into replacing the original chokes that came with my browning 725. After reading on the internet, the general consensus is that the DS chokes shoot more open than other guns therefore i currently shoot 1/2 and 3/4 for sporting. Does anyone have any experience with the after market chokes that are avaliable? It seems the Teague and Briley are the most popular but do they actually produce better, more consistent patterns and are they worth the money. I was looking to go to 1/4 and 1/2 or 3/8 3/8 if the after market chokes are slightly more constricted. Im not one for changing chokes between each trap . I would rather put 2 in and shoot everything with them and blame the misses on myself not the chokes ! Thanks.
  19. After reading more reviews from people who have owned the bsa lightning xl it looks like alot of people have had similar experiences to you . There are alot more negative reviews than there are positive. I understand you saying about the hw 50 not being full powered but im thinking my 7 year old son could use it in the garden too and if theres less recoil and abit more user friendly it would help him out abit. I did have a .22 hw95 but i sold it and brought a 410 hushpower which i think are absolutely fantastic bits of kit.
  20. Thanks for your replys. I will mainly be plinking in the back garden so having quite a crack wouldn't be ideal as the last thing i want is the neighbours complaining. I have seen a lovely looking restored hw50s for sale that is a few £ less. Performing at 8ft/lbs and being semi recoilless it should be alot smoother and quieter to shoot . And should still knock the odd rat over at short range from off the bird feeder.
  21. Hi all . I'm on the verge of buying a bsa lightning xl se in .177 Does anyone have any experience with these and what are your opinions of them. Also iv seen the sound moderator on the barrel has a thread on the end for an additional silencer. Is there any in particular that users would reccomend to keep the noise levels down that little bit more? Thanks.
  22. Aah ok i have the fully moderated gun with the ported barrel. Thanks for the info 👍
  23. Ok il look into the eley . Thanks for your help .👍 Do they do these in fibre. As i can only seem to find plastic and with me using a hushpower its recommend not to use plastic cartridges. Thanks.
  24. Hi all. I have recently brought a single barrel yildiz 410 fully moderated hushpower. The only subsonic cartridges i have tried so far are the 3" lyavale express magnasonic 17g 5's I find these quiet in comparison to the standard 410 cartridges. I have seen good reviews for the 24g cheddite, has anyone had any experience using these or is there any others that you would recommend. Thanks.
