  1. Will pigeons feed on mustard crops at all?,i'm assuming they will?,it's not a crop i'm familiar with & one of the farms i shoot on has just direct drilled mustard into barley stubble,i'm familiar with kale & stubble turnips that are direct drilled into barley stubble & they most certainly feed on them.
  2. So it's not just me then. Stone Dead 32g 5's are my usual & preffered cartridges,i really rate them (& so do others that i have given some to try in the past),i control a lot more corvids than pigeons, for me to obtain Stone Deads it's a near 700 mile round trip,i cannot obtain Hull Superfast Pigeon HV 29g 6's locally either but i can get them in Glasgow,my 'local' gunshops only stock high-end cartridges at ridiculous prices so i do not entertain them, anyway,i gots to thinking that perhaps i should switch to using Hull Superfasts on pigeons to save the Stone Deads for the corvids so the last time i was in Glasgow i bought quite a few slabs of Hulls at a reasonable price,i thought they'd be fine, they seem to be popular with a lot of pigeon shooters who shoot a lot more pigeons than i ever will (the numbers just aren't the same up here),i'm struggling to get to grips with the Hulls, really struggling!. My first day using the Hulls on pigeons had me missing & winging more birds than ever in my life,it was quite frankly ridiculous!,my thoughts were choke & pattern,Stone Dead's are allegedly 1340fps,the Hull Superfasts 1500fps so i was allowing for that,i always use 1/4 choke on corvids & pigeons with the Stone Dead 5's & they do exactly what they say on the box so i thought there'd be no problem with 1/4 choke with the Hulls. A week later had me patterning the Hulls & for reasons beyond me they patterned ok but slightly off to the left through every choke i tried, the Stone Deads as per usual were bang on center,go figure!,patterned at 24yds,30 inch circle & off a bench & bags to eliminate pilot error, full set of Optima Plus chokes,3 extended Teague chokes & an extended Optima Plus L/M choke.gun fit is fine. My last 3 outings on pigeons with the Hulls i switched to a cylinder Optima Plus choke, being mindful not to 'stretch the barrel' & take into account that the Hulls are patterning slightly off to left,i got better results but i'm still not happy,i can't get my head around this 'off to the left' patterns, that's a new one on me,i've never had that with any other cartridge i've patterned,i think i'll be selling the remaining slabs of Hulls & sticking to what i'm familiar with. Tin hat is on.............🤨
  3. You made a fine job of that,it's great seeing old equipment, tools etc being brought back to life whether for ornamental purposes or to be used again,i watch a lot of restoration vids on Youtube, very interesting.
  4. You'd get banned for posting it on here! 🤣 Youtube 'Derek & Clive-jump you....'
  5. Well well,my parcel landed on my doorstep around 2 hours after posting the above, delighted!
  6. The deaths & horrific injuries caused by these bio-weapon shots are already completely off the scale & increasing at a horendous rate,i'm glad i had the sense to avoid them!
  7. I placed an order with them yesterday morning, called them as soon as their lines opened at 09:30,was asked to call back half an hour later as their website was down due to maintenance, called back, placed the order & soon afterwards received confirmation emails, due to my location i don't expect to receive my goods until Monday at the earliest (?),myself & my brother have never had any problems with them in the past, they're usually very competent & reliable.
  8. The local farmers are bracing themselves, they're fully aware of the havoc these birds have been wreaking on the western isles, they much prefer lamb to fish, the songbird population around the Cromarty Firth area has already been heavily impacted by the over population of Red Kites thanks to the RSPB's Red Kite reserve/feeding station at Tollie, these introduced Sea Eagles are only going to make matters worse, lets just hope the RSPB do not accidently poison these Sea Eagles with contaminated food then blame the local farmers for their deaths like they did with the Red Kites in 2014,this resulted in many farm houses & buildings being turned inside out by the police looking for poison,it caused a huge amount of trouble & stress for many people.
  9. Yea it is tigers, not lions,my bad but you get the drift....

  12. Three very good videos created by Dominic Wightman from Country Squire Magazine, worth a watch................ https://countrysquire.co.uk/2022/07/21/the-countryside-strikes-back/ Also,Dominic Wightman,Nigel Bean & Paul Read are currently being sued by Chris Packham for defamation, details in the following link.. https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/the-packham-3-defamation-defen/ They have been fundraising to help them fight this, myself & a few shooting buddies clubbed together recently & donated a reasonable sum of money, they are still a good way off what they were hoping to raise, perhaps some PW members might want to donate, unfortunately there's only 2 days left to do so.
  13. Very interesting & very well articulated,i had been meaning to post a thread about another Country Squire article i found recently,i'll go ahead & do it now.
  14. & don't expect to find the truth about the WEF on any platform run by Google,Google etc will only let you see what they want you to see,the majority of the world has woken up to what's really going on,unfortunately there's a minority who only believe what MSM tell them.
  15. I was a wood cutter for a good number of years before the harvesters moved in & put us all out of work,in one squad i worked with there was only one fella who used guides to sharpen his chain, ironically he was the one that had always cut the least amount of wood by the end of the day...it had nothing to do with his cutting capability it was purely because he wasted so much time sharpening his saw!,it doesn't take long to learn to do it quickly by hand with just a file, there's no need for any gadgets. 254 & 266XP Huskies were always my weapons of choice, that'll tell you how long it's been since i was a cutter!
  16. He sure is & he will be installed to assist the WEF agenda,he will help usher the UK along into a digital ID & social credit system,he is the perfect tool for the job, himself & his wife look upon the lower, working & middle class with great disdain & they have family ties to technology partner of the WEF that has advocated for a chinese communist party-style economy,Sunak & his wife also have an insatiable appetite for large sums of money, they have an estimated net worth of £730 million(?) & still feel the need to partake in tax avoidance, corrupt to the core like the rest of them!,the list goes on...it's a done deal. Anagram for Rishi Sunak...'hi risk #nus' !
  17. Teamac Marine Gloss,it's a brush-on modified long oil alkyd marine coating & the price won't have you sweating like a pox doctor's clerk.
  18. Slightly diluted bleach in a spray bottle, works a treat,i believe the green algae is caused by lack of sunlight (?),i live in Scotland, bleaching my sheds & fences is an almost daily chore! 🤬
  19. Another vote here for Phil Crampton aka Ratworks, totally transformed my Mk2 R10,money well spent & worth every penny!.
