  1. 👍👍 thanks for posting Will people ever wake up and stop believing everything they are told is true, rather than working it out for themselves
  2. So sorry to hear that Ed and a touching post. Sounds like Walt had a fantastic life and you shared great times together.
  3. A guy from York was busking outside Woolworths (1996) and got noticed by a friend of a friend of another musician who was forming a band. The other musician was John Squire from The Stone Roses. A year later the busker (Chris Helme) and the Bass player (Stuart Fletcher) also from York who Squire picked up during a gig at a local club were playing in front of thousands of people at Glastonbury. If it wasn’t for Squire being such a pr*ck they would have gone and done a lot more. Evidence below of Squire playing far too loud and wanting the limelight and destroying the lyrics.
  4. Yeah because thats a source of absolute truth without any far left wing spin put on it! Not wasted my time reading it but will take a guess at “ An official source said” or “a spokesman said” or “our source said” without naming them…..which means no one said anything so we just made it up. So to be clear, “our tory leaders are happy to break the law” As far as I am aware, there is no judgement yet which means at this time nobody has broken any law. It’s an accusation only. If the accusations are proven, then fair enough. From what I have read elsewhere this case brought forward by Asylum Aid is regarding an Albanian national. Again last time I looked, Albania was not a war torn Country. They are a democratic state, albeit a weak one, so why are we harbouring Albanian nationals as “asylum seekers” just because their own government cannot/will not/don’t want to sort out the crime gangs that operate there? Is it the role of the UK Government to sort out Albania’s internal problems? We waste millions of pounds a day housing, feeding and giving out tax payers money to mostly men of fighting age. They arrive with no id, mobile phones, designer clothes and full of hate for the uk. They are then supported by left wing lawyers and left wing sympathisers (a fair amount of which work as civil servants) who try to stop our government dealing with them. If this cowardly government and god forbid Labour had the best interest of British people at heart, they would quite quickly put a stop to this ridiculous situation. We have a navy that could be deployed to protect our waters like other nations have done, that have a backbone. Round up the illegal immigrants and deport them. The alternative, which is already happening, does not bear thinking about. Just for balance, I am not against refugees and I do believe that our country should do its bit to help those people that are seeking a safe haven.

    Typing

Absolutely. Just like learning the guitar, it’s about muscle memory. Memorise the keyboard and start very slowly, gradually increasing the speed. Practice makes permanent

As stated, only if society complies and allows it to happen

Haven’t noticed any reduced performance in cold weather and the system is guaranteed to work down to -25 degrees. The air pump is not noisy at all unless you stand right next to it and then it is just a gentle hum when the fan is turning Agree with this comment about whoever is driving this madness. We got our system installed as it was the cheapest in the long run with the options we had and nothing to do with the net zero lunatics. I am also all for fossil fuels rather than electric everything. We have a multi fuel burner as well in which I use to burn coal and wood. as mentioned previously, we only had to have two slightly bigger rads fitted and the existing pipe work was used. For info our house is a 1930’s bungalow and the 2 new rads were in the new extension we had build in 2015. Our existing cylinder was replaced and obviously the plumbing as well for this but it fitted in the same cupboard. You are correct that underfloor heating is a better bet rather than rads but we have had no problems with with the heating at all

Had one installed along with solar panels around 2 and half years ago. Was previously on LPG and costing a fortune. The install cost was high (around £18k) but we qualified for a payback scheme so receive £430 per quarter for seven years, around 66% of the original cost. Very little disruption in the house during the install, a couple of bigger radiators and a new tank. Until the electricity prices went mad, we were quids in and the performance of it has been very good indeed throughout all seasons. Now thinking about getting battery storage for the solar panels but will wait to see what happens with the electricity prices before doing so as the cost for them is around £7k
  10. I never liked him and didn’t think he was funny at all, until I was persuaded to go to one of his gigs. Came out of the gig with my mind completely changed. Superb live act, very intelligent and most of all very, very funny. If he is guilty of the accusations, then the book should be thrown at him. However trial by the media is wrong and I suspect it is being done because he has spoken out against the woke brigade, the covid scam, WEF and a whole raft of other things that go against the MSM but are mostly true. If there are accusations to be answered, it should be done through the police and the courts.
  11. Pretty sure this would have been posted previously but just spent the past 25 mins watching this. Left me with a lovely warm feeling of how simple country life should be and still is to a certain extent, maybe without the pony and trap, but something, I assume most of us yearn for….enjoy I tried copying the link from YouTube but without success, anyway search for Jack Hargreaves Goes on a Pub Crawl
  12. So sorry to hear that. John was really helpful when I joined and although I never met him face to face, had a good few chats with him over the phone. Really nice bloke R.I.P.
  13. Great post and paints a perfect picture. Sums up my feelings of what decoying woodies is all about. It’s not about numbers but more of being out there, enjoying the day and seeing things that’s the majority of non shooters do not see. I very rarely take a photo of the bag, good or bad but always come back with a few pics of the scene, view and an occasional video of my companion retrieving or just sitting in the hide on lookout. My journal is full of such outings
  14. What a fantastic post and a superb photo…….wonderful memories for you
  15. Yes if any expenses are claimed, they are minuted and form part of the end of year accounts which are audited. Bank statements are reviewed and signed by two people at each meeting. As mentioned previously, people don’t become Parish Councillors to fiddle expenses. They are non paid volunteers who to try and help the community where they can. The only person who is on a wage is the clerk and employed by the County Council. Can I ask, the parish councillor that you know, what is the size of the parish, what sort of expenses do they claim and have they told you that is the first thing they do at meetings and if so why would they tell you that?
  16. They complain about where they lived, then come here illegally and complain again about where they live while taking money, food and accommodation from us. As Mahyer says on the video not a woman or child in sight. All men of fighting age. Easy solution if HMG had the balls to do it. Round them up, send them back. When the bleeding heart liberals and lefties whine about it, give them an option. If you don’t like it, go back with them and fight their cause in their “places of origin where there are no wars” “war torn countries”. Before doing this, make them clean up their mess and filth and put it back to how they found it. Genuine asylum seekers fleeing from war torn countries should be processed properly through the correct channels as we should of course help them. Anyone coming over in an inflatable from France should be stopped mid channel by the Navy and sent back….if France or the EU complain, tough, let them complain. What are they going to do? Could you imagine Maggie putting up with this invasion and doing nothing? HMG need to grow a pair and protect our nation
  17. I am a parish councillor. I only did it as they were short of numbers and were calling for volunteers about 6 years ago as they need a minimum of 5 councillors and were down to that number with a couple of people who had been giving up their free time for many years. They were due to retire and the council would have to fold. Its a very small parish and does have a touch of Dibley about it. Not a lot of power to do much but we do look after and represent what we can for the residents. As for expenses, there aren’t any apart from the Clerk and that is minimal. The Council is made up of 7 people from the villages from all walks of life, farmer, agronomist, builder, self employed etc We spend about 2 hours a month to go through the issues that come up, we look at planning applications and comment and we are very fair with all applications. Most are passed without any objections but there are times when we do object if the application could have a detrimental affect on the 2 villages or to other residents. We ensure the lanes and walkways are tidy and well kept, over hanging branches of trees are cut back. We provide funding through grants for local schemes that improve the area. We donate to the local church and the British Legion. We bang our heads against the wall constantly with the local council and highways agency but never give up and try to make sure problems are rectified. We ensure lanes are gritted as the local authority does not cover them. We make sure elderly residents are ok and looked after. In the chairman role, there is a lot more to do as that person is the focal point for the residents about absolutely anything and I mean anything, even if it has nothing to do with the parish council. Without our parish council, the larger parishes would swallow up the villages and they would go from two quaint villages to a suburb of a much larger town with houses being built in between. It’s easy to criticise people through hearsay, who give up their own free time voluntarily to ensure a parish is being looked after. If anyone thinks that councillors haven’t got a clue, go an do it yourself rather than judge from the sidelines
  18. It’s a tough decision but think you have made the right choice. Success rates from the op are very high, so good luck mate. Talking about it with people who have been through the whole process, regardless of the choice of treatment is definitely the right thing to do. Best wishes
  19. Just get checked regardless. I had no symptoms at all and when I eventually went for the PSA test my reading was 19. Anything below 3 is considered ok. When I saw the Urologist, which was the next step, he told me with my reading and my Dad’s history there was 50% chance I had cancer and therefore without treatment, my life expectancy was considerably challenged. It frightened the life out of me and looking back was glad he was so direct. I then had the biopsy which was the worst part of the whole experience (not painful, just uncomfortable) and it took me a couple of months to decide on the course of action, which was the op. Can’t stress enough, get the test done
  20. This is a very good club or when I was a member it was, that’s not to suggest it has changed. My Dad was one of the earliest members and both my brother and myself joined. Really well organised, good people and great farms to shoot over. If I was still in Essex I would be putting my name forward
  21. Sorry to hear that and well said I was diagnosed with it in 2018 (age 56) and was very lucky they found it early, only went because my wife nagged me. Had a prostatectomy but still have to have PSA (blood) test every year. My Dad was diagnosed years earlier when he was 72 (now 86) with stage 4 prostate cancer and we expected the worst. However he was given a trial drug (steroids) and 14 years later is still enjoying his life with my mum. We saw him go through hell from first diagnosis for the best part of 4 years so totally agree with Neverforget, get checked @Neverforget Not wishing to pry but if you feel like you want to chat, just drop me an IM
