  1. Sorry about that Gordon, but it was to me, I knew nothing about this.
  2. Just came across this, does not look good for Yorkshire grants and renewals and will probably be across the board soon.
  3. I don't follow English football really, I do not understand the game, But to me, it appears the object of the game is for 11 players to pass the ball between them until one of the players gets within 10ft of the goal, then upon being passed the ball this player has to head, shoulder or kick the ball passed a 2ft wide goal keeper into a 24ft wide goal. Upon achieving this, the players game is over as they are immediately mobbed by other members of their team and subsequently rushed off to the nearest hospital, apparently suffering from multiple love bites. ๐Ÿ˜
  4. How did you pay?. If method was Pay-Pal or credit card you may be able to recover your payment. If Cheque, cash or debit card you are at the mercy of PP.
  5. Just had a look at their website, It's not up to much at the moment and it looks like they are having problems with emails. However they do have a better presence on Facebook, reviews on Facebook are excellent so they seem to be pukka.
  6. Caravan yes, pickup no. As I said in my earlier post, I had thought about a pickup but after doing some research decided on an SUV. So my comments on traction in the wet were based on personal research not personal experience, I was just pointing out to the OP that some independent "reviews" have highlighted this as an issue that, some have experienced, possibly because they have not balanced the loading properly. The fact that you have never had an issue does not mean that nobody will, and as such it's a consideration. On the point of pickup's and commercials being turned away from some touring sites, I am speaking from both personal and research experience. I can only assume that you have been very lucky with the sites you have visited, but in my neck of the woods there are quite a few sites that will not except pickups or commercial vehicles, admittedly, most are referring to "signwritten work vehicles", but not all. (see attached)
  7. Yes that's true, any pickup will tow a caravan, but there are certain caveats to think about, such as GVW restrictions, suspension bounce and caravan chassis damage due to the trucks harder suspension, caravan nose load etc. etc. It is also a fact that many private and CCC affiliated caravan sites will not allow commercial tow vehicles onto their sites, one of the reasons for this is the lightness of the rear end of a pickup truck naturally reduces traction on grass sites that are wet, this same problem can also manifest on wet roads and roundabouts. then there is also the fact that some caravan manufactures will void any warrantee if it is found that a defect or damage was likely caused by the use of a pickup tow vehicle, also, some caravan insurance companies frown on pickup's as well.
  8. If it meets (BS 7558) then it should be ok with your FEO
  9. Yes I think they would have some value, both look professional standard, although old looking models they both look as though they measure in AC/DC and resistance. Multi meters are very useful to any body who even remotely, does anything electrical. and most DIYers or hobbyists will need one at some point, but they would usually go for cheaper ones not the pro standard. But any electrical student just beginning their courses would be glad of those without doubt, Also you said "along with other stuff", if this is also electrical test equipment such as Ammeters, RCD meters, clamp testers or earth loop testers etc. etc. Then you should be on to a winner.
  10. Is it the 1200 petrol model? they are a bit under powered. Mine pulls a biggish 2 berth caravan no problem at all.
  11. Depends on the size of your caravan, but I believe the best all rounder is the Isuzu D max. I have thought about going down this route myself as I also tow a Bailey Pegasus 462, but taking into account the servicing and running costs of a "commercial" vehicle, purely as a towing tool with very little other purpose other than the occasional trip to the tip or builders merchants, for me personally, it did not make financial sense. However I also needed the "off road" capabilities of a towing vehicle for my fishing and shooting in a vehicle that was also practical for family use. In the end, I decided on an SUV, and I went for the Dacia Duster Prestige 1500 diesel, if your not a "badge snob" these are without doubt the best value for money 4x4s on the road today.
  12. The fancy French name for it, I prefer to call it an eggy bread club sandwich. Perfect for a quick-ish but substantial snack when out field shooting, fishing or camping. All done in the one pan, dead easy to make, and in my opinion it's the food of the gods. Method/Ingredients : Take a shallow pan and into it break 2 or 3 eggs (per person) depending on appetites, Add a little milk to the eggs and season to taste, then lightly whisk with a utensil until the yokes, whites and milk have blended. Then take thick cut bread slices (3 slices per sandwich )and liberally soak each piece in the egg mixture until the mixture is used up. Now add a decent knob of butter to the pan and place on a heat source, whilst you are waiting for the butter to melt open a packet of sliced ham and a packet of sliced or grated cheese, then place 1 or 2 of the egg soaked slices into the pan for about 2 mins per side, Then take them out of the pan and repeat with all the slices remaining. Next, build the club sandwiches by taking a slice of the egg bread and cover the upper surface with ham, place another slice on top of the ham and cover the surface of this with the cheese, finally, place a third slice on top of the cheese and place back into the pan, turning occasionally until the cheese has melted and the bread starts to get evenly browned. Take out the pan, cut in half, enjoy.

    ANY IDEAS

Yes exactly, I think it may have been an organised plan to be carried out by a terrorist cell. It's one thing to have some radicalised idiot be prepared (or forced in some way ), to commit suicide. But for the same person to also have the knowledge and ability to plan the attack and build the device all by themselves is possible, but not that likely.

    ANY IDEAS

Possible but I very much doubt it, timers are usually associated with devices that are planted. If this guy was wearing a suicide vest he would probably have had a plunger switch. It could also be a possibility that another terrorist, acting as a spotter, had the means to detonate the device remotely should their original plan go pear shaped.

Hi Novice Assuming you are using the windows operating system, it's quite easy to reduce the data and actual sizes of pictures that have been saved onto your computer in .jpeg format. To save a picture in this format simply transfer the picture from a camera or a scanned image to your computer, then put your cursor over the picture and click the right mouse button, then select from the menu "open with paint". Reduce the picture size in paint, then save it as a .jpeg file. The picture is now ready to attach to your post. (see video "how to" below ). Hope this helps.
  18. Its possible you maybe able to cure this problem quite simply sandpiper. If you have an old router knocking about, you are able to re-purpose it as a Wi-Fi extender, instructions here : https://www.tomsguide.com/uk/us/how-to-turn-old-router-into-wifi-extender,review-5166.html . Alternatively, you can purchase a cheapish Wi-Fi extender that you plug into a spare electrical 13amp socket which is nearer to the offending camera. (see attached ),
  19. It does not appear to be a basic membership option, I can only suggest contacting an administrator, it may be an option available through the sites control panel, or alternatively, they may have the option to set a limit of notifications before auto delete
  20. With regard to your rods, It may be worth your while contacting this dealer, they do a range of products called "Mephisto" and may be able to shed some light. With a bit of luck they may be Bruce and Walker or Hardy rods. https://www.mortimersofspeyside.co.uk/browse/

Be very careful with free anti-virus, they are free for a reason. Most will only offer partial protection and some are even malware that do more harm than good. Far better to use proper paid for protection, something like Norton which can be picked up quite cheaply in deals at Curry's PC World, shopping around I have found it for as little as ยฃ24 for the year.
  22. I use Swann security camera's for my property, not the cheapest on the market but they have never let me down. My main CCTV system is wired but my front door and gun cabinet are covered by Swann Wi-Fi. The whole lot records 1080p colour data day or night, which is recorded both on the premises and uploaded to a free Drop Box account, you can also download the Swann app which allows you to use your phone to live view all your camera's and receive text messages of any intrusions, these can then be viewed live on your phone and forwarded to the police as evidence as all images are date stamped. Overkill for what you require I know, but a single Wi-Fi camera, the Swann app and a free Drop Box account should cover your needs. As with almost everything nowadays, you have to pay a little extra for quality. PS: with the audio camera you can even speak commands to your dog.
  23. I am with you on this one samboy, I was under the impression that all the proceeds of poppy sales and tin collections , apart from administration costs, was used to support causes. As you say, if Jim Davidsons comments accurately describe the actual use of the public's donations, I for one, will be thinking twice about making donations in the future.
  24. I shoot at Quorn once a fortnight, just finished my basic lessons at Orston and been shooting for about 10 weeks now, been to Lakeside Once to try and get a bit more shooting in as I sorely need the practice. I just turned up there and ask at the counter if anybody was about to go out and was prepared to have me tag along, I soon got fixed up with 3 other shooters, no problem. I intend going to Lakeside a bit more midweek-ish, as and when possible and am always willing to join or be joined by others, I usually turn up in a blue Dacia Duster so anybody looking for a shooting buddy just needs to say. Alternatively, I can always be messaged on here, I am averaging 32 to 35 out of 50 at present, so lets put it this way, I don't think I will be embarrassing anybody. ๐Ÿ‘
  25. Yes, the general public certainly got a raw deal at the last election. But lets face it, there was only two real candidates in the running, the first was an out and out racist and the second is a public school "hooray henry" who, already had a serious rap sheet of gaffs from his stint as the lord mayor of London. I don't think his continuous foot in mouth behaviour is a sign of stupidity, he is obviously quite intelligent, it's just his inability to use his brain and think things through logically and rationalise the facts of a situation properly before opening his mouth and making rash statements that he later regrets and has to retract. What really sets him apart for me though, is his infuriating habit of ever answering a question with a direct yes or no, instead preferring to stutter and waffle unrelated nonsense in an attempt to bamboozle.
