Dont forget if a "banker" or even a civil servant are earning over £100K they are getting taxed at higher rate on most of their earnings and the more they earn (salary or bonus) the more they contribute. So I say if someone is getting paid a £300K bonus for earning the company £350m profit then I'd be happy to have the extra tax income from the individual and (where its not being loopholed) the Corporation Tax on the £350m. In the meantime removing the cap allows the "best" people to work in UK rather than overseas. I have always supported the ideology that all of us have a different combination of skills, experience, motivation and opportunity and I have had to go out on a limb to get a job that paid well but I really didnt like it so I left and set up my own company - but I was working stupid hours and literally had no time to do anything. I would sleep for the first week of any holiday. I was just like a zombie. So whilst I appreciate a lot of people might think you need to go to a posh school to be a trader I personally have seen some of the best traders that have come from an underpriviliged background, but like someone else said, the stress and responsibility isnt for everyone and when I asked one of my mates why he wants to leave a job with no stress that pays well to be a gardener, he just says he can't be bothered with all the corporate BS. So if you want to be a trader and earn millions then go do it.

I love that Now we’ve got complete control of our borders - job done I was never particularly for or against Brexit but I had the feeling it could be a few years of chaos followed by a gradual drift towards something like but not exactly the result we would have had without Brexit so was the chaos worthwhile?? One thing though….I didn’t know My next door neighbor just told me the EU don’t have access to DVLA at the moment so if you speed abroad they can’t get your details - sweet ! D Another thought just occurred If we ever did have to support NATO in Germany Poland etc would the squaddies need a visa and have to go through the slow lines of immigration? 😀

I haven’t read the whole thread but several bits so speaking from partial ignorance I think the problem arises when the Tories start adopting policies like the Labour and vice versa so you got no idea who’s doing what, then them sneaky LibDems start ditching all their long held fiscal policies like a penny on tax and start sounding only half barmy people might be confused about what they are voting for! Hi Looking for books on Military firearms, particularly WWII but anything 19/20 Century Both looking for books about how the Small Arms were used (tactics etc) and technical books / gunsmithing/ownership books Including General books that cover the subject like the pistols and rifles books or bolt action rifles or semi-auto rifles etc that might have civilian and military So for example a book that catalogues all Service and civilian rifles and pistols or a book on the Colt 1911 Gerand SMLE etc Thanks D

Context : (as previously stated) this symbol appeared on my dash - having never seen it before - I had no idea what it meant The trip function automatically resets itself when the car isn’t driven (like overnight) I didn’t reset anything and it was showing So unless someone manually reset the trip (or you stop for fuel or something and then think your journey started at the fuel stop) then the actual information is going to be the trip since starting a journey If you don’t agree that’s fine! I bought a Jack Pyke one from Amazon along with another unbranded one from Amazon I tried them both out at home and was very unimpressed having used a couple of different ones at shooting grounds My advice would therefore be to buy online so that you can return if it’s not up to the job D
