  1. Thanks I have about 3-4 pairs of brand new boots in the cupboard but none really fit well hence I was hoping someone would have similar - I’ll take a look anyway D
  2. Hi looking for summer lightweight boots trainers style mid/low prefer zamberlan or scarpa as I know they fit well has anyone got a pair they bought and never worn as they didn’t fit properly? PS not looking to pay a fortune for premium boots D
  3. Are they any good? They seem cheap for a Leica product which are often premium D
  4. Postage on this is £2.99 as its just too big to fit in a large letter and has to go as a small parcel!

    410 silenced

And you can just buy a silencer and fit it for about £100 if it works for you or you can buy something else like a moderated hushpower mossberg

Interesting I found that you need to hit the (vermin) with the middle of the pattern and it drops like a rock I was closer maybe 10-15 yards though but adequate much further I shot a milk jug full of water at about 20 yards and it went straight through the front the water and out the back so it definitely has the power if its not too far D Are you interested in my single shot to try it out without a silencer? You can have it for peanuts (like £25) as it is a bit rough and I can throw in a box of cartridges That way you get to try it and see if its viable before commiting decent money D

I remember back in the day you could buy a honda or yam for about £150 or an MZ for about £30 Shame really because nobody wanted the MZ because it wasnt as cool as the jap bikes If anyone happens to have a FS1E in their garage they are now worth silly money Never had one (or a Moskovitch or Wartburg) 🙂 Ahhhhh the smell of nostalgia !! D How could I forget - a friend of mine had a Benelli 650sei - that was awesome too

I have used my 410 around my house (without a moderator) and the neigbours were not aware I was using it when I pologised they said "what noise" Obviously 410 has a smaller pattern with less pellets but very usable and solid at 25-35 yards and you could stretch that a bit I've shot clays at much more Adding a moderator and using sub sonic cartridges should be no drama at all I bought a Norica 3 shot bolt and a scruffy single shot 410 hammer gun precisely to add a moderator to for that purpose but never got the moderator D

  14. It’s a bit of a waste of advertising though I have no idea what this Sh$& is Really unlikely to click
  15. Well that may be true under certain circumstances but it also depends on the stated purpose - if stated as being in use for the deterrent reduction and prosecution of crime (as many are) then providing the evidence to a victim of crime wouldn’t be a breach of the rules obviously for people to know the details of when and how they can release it’s easier just to say no D
  16. I was out shooting clays with the Benelli (with two cartridges) a little while ago but to be honest it’s been a struggle to find time to get out for a day That said I had a brilliant day and need to schedule some more Hopefully sorted with a gun for the wife (that’s a present not an exchange) so we can both get out together and not rely on people that live a good few hours away D
  17. How do you know if it was an A1 Also the mossbergs were all over the place price wise at Southams
  18. Sorry for the many words I feel it’s worth thinking through and it Sunday morning time for a mini rant 🙂 It can appear that if you are a habitual criminal albeit generally low level stuff (shoplifting or nicking bits off cars or out of cars to sell for drugs) there’s an apathy to do anything by the police and I’m guessing that’s because by the time they’ve put (upto) hundreds of hours into proving that an offence has taken place and getting it to court the offender is going to get 25 hours community service and a £32 fine for costs. The obvious problem is that this emboldens and reinforces the view that police are powerless against this kind of crime You must have seen on TV how much effort they require against anyone who just gives a no comment interview and doesn’t convict themselves The police are always going to put their efforts where they think they’re making a difference and unfortunately they know that those people who have a particular criminal history have also learned how to play the victim and the system. Unfortunately some of the crimes that are cut and dried (e.g. speeding) do not habitually catch career criminals and have a low cost to the police in terms of time and efficiency - just issue a ticket - job done and they can potentially generate revenue so why not put lots of efforts there?? I’m not saying they shouldn’t I’m just sating there’s possibly disproportionate effort compared with other crimes because they look good statistically they could easily become a self perpetuating crusade justified by road deaths. Back to the OP - Leaving the scene of an accident is still strictly speaking quite serious but I bet the defence of “I didn’t realise there was contact” would challenge the police without cctv showing the incident and the driver reacting to the impact Even though I have little or no expectation of most police forces putting in the effort to follow up on a hit and run with minor damage I would still report it and the reason is two fold 1) There’s always the possibility that plod turns up on your doorstep with a complaint saying Mr don’t know how wide my car is complaining you hit him - it always pays to get your complaint lodged first in any such interaction with police - not least because you don’t know how long that cctv will last 2) If the driver was illegal and goes on to do something more serious how would you feel knowing there was a chance to nip it in the bud On the other hand if you actually take any kind of action against someone yourself like challenging or chasing someone out of your house as a typical law abiding citizen you will probably give a statement (why wouldn’t you as you have nothing to hide - because you don’t believe that you did anything wrong) but when it comes to court there’s a fantasy version of events from the other party and they are the hard done by victims and you’re in clink. Not wishing to turn this thread into a “Law and Order” debate I’d definitely advocate reporting it and I also try and have a dashcam in my car too - but it’s broken at the moment If you do report it let us know if our lack of faith is misplaced ? I genuinely hope it gets followed up and resolved in your favour but well… D
  19. If it’s a question of cost there are a lot of good pet trackers that work in a similar way with an app but remember to use something that has a charger (e.g. you don’t need to disconnect batteries to charge we use Tractive for our dog that would work in a car if you just want the tracking function (and it has a virtual fence that will alert if the tracker leaves the area) you’d need to tape the charger to the tracker as it just magnetic and obviously hide the tracker It’s possible to remove but it’s possible they just drove the vehicle into a shipping container which would just block the signal The other “trick” is to drive the car a few miles away park up for 24-48h and see if anyone turns up rather than taking it back to somewhere associated with them with a tracking device
  20. It can reduce premiums with some insurers but that doesn’t mean the cheapest/best insurers for that make and model will I had a tracker fitted and it reduced premiums but the main reason for having it was that if it was stolen I don’t want the scrote getting away with it D
  21. I'm sure you're not getting old LOL! I did put it in the first line in bold as well though - just so it was obvious - maybe it wasnt If someone wants to come and collect it in the very near future and wants to pay cash I can be a bit flexible on the price D 👍
  22. Did you get a 9mm yet? I sold my Anschutz but have two that I could sell - one is a Webley & Scott the other is a Manuarm (which is a clone of the Anschutz I'd say) The Manuarm is in nice condition and the Webley & Scott is in okay to good condition which is reflected in the asking price; Webley & Scott £75 Manuarm £150 Happy to send photos if they are of interest and can meet somewhere Cambridge way or possibly Bury/Diss if it fits with a family visit Can also provide a box of 9mm cartridges D
