My Howa 1500 has a 1:9 twist and shoots my home load sierra blitzkings 55gn (vit n133 powder) very well. 1/4 MOA for 5 shot group. The Geco 53gn spire point work very well too. not had any runners using the spire point (soft points) loads. V-max are good too, just try a variety and see what works well for you.

Over my Fathers place last night, he has taken a real vendetta against magpies this spring (if you can call it that), loads of small bird nests have been destroyed in his garden and field boundaries, he was fuming. he PCP will be getting red hot I suspect. Only started shooting at 62yr old, and with a PCP nearly exclusively, taking grey crows, magpies and rabbits at 100yrds with it!

local locksmith for a safe key (similar to the ones imaged above) was £25 last year... seems like the going rate for a 'safe' style key.

Centre drill the tine and fork body and stick a small rod in, groove the edges out a tad and weld it up, preheat both sides a bit too, always helps the odd bits and pieces of welding I have done previously. If its already bajaxxed, you have nothing to fear if you wreck it trying to fix it.

I had thought about that, my fear was it biting into the race between the adjustable ocular lens and the body. Might have a look and see if there is a lanyard style loop to catch on to. Thanks Steve_B_Wales

Hi, Having some issues keeping the rubber bellow style eye cup on the Pard ocular lens - I have lost it a few times, found 2 out of 3. Does anyone have any methods to prevent it getting pulled off the unit and lost. Wary of superglue as it can 'evaporate' onto the lens as it cures, have has this happen before on a part with glass beside it. Open to suggestions, I don't like using it without, feels wrong, additional glare from the unit and I scoped myself firing at a fox, only 223, but it was sore enough to notice (that's when I realised it was missing, other than thinking something wasn't right when raising the rifle). It does help maintain the eye relief. Thanks.

I got sorted locally after some further digging around RFD's. Just hard to find what you want! Got a few loads made up and shot at 50yards, as wasn't sure how well they would group wanted everything on target. largest group 3/4", smallest group 1/4" at 50yrds. % shot groups. 1.62gram of N133 and 55gn heads don't work... blown primer, and signs of over pressure. slight sign at 1.60gram powder but no hard bolt lift etc.

A point I note, I have a 2013 L200, getting 30mpg... big car, aerodynamics of a brick and I give it the beans. However the wife's car doesn't get much more than this, nor the parents Q5. run of the mill larger cars much of a muchness in consumption (my own observation, this could be complete horse sh!t to everyone else). Just an attack on the cash cow that is the modern motorist, electric, hybrid or standard ICE.

Both, I was looking something to work as dual purpose.

I've done a batch of x25 in x5 round batches from 1.39gram (21.45gn) - 1.43gram (22.07gn). Max load listed is 1.62gram (25gn). Want to test that range in small increments then once something stands out, work on the neck tension and seating depth.
