  1. Its not a trap gun its a mx2000 sporter.
  2. I have been trying a few sorts of cartridges just of late. I really like the RC sipe but they make me teeth rattle. As i said above shot some victory starlights 32g 6 shot they seem pretty good. I had a couple of days pheasent shooting last week and a friend of mine gave me some Express supergame 32g 6 shot true 70mm case. I actully really liked them, quite refined on the shoulder and killed really well, even had a really high kock bird which was killed cleanly. i might try a thousand on my next cartrigde buying trip but looked em up about £236 per thou. My favorite of the lot is Eley VIP pdp wads 32g 5 or 6 shot but they are just to expensive to keep shooting pigeons with for me. But i usally keep 250 for high pheasent days. if i win the lotto I would stick with the VIP's.
  3. I use Hull pro ones for clays 28g 7.5 shot. got a muzzle velocity of 1500fps if that means much to anyone. but i really like them.
  4. If you are rich enough, you can get pdp wads. photo degradable plastic wads. Eley VIP bit pricey though to squirt at pigeons.
  5. If you are shooting compotition. 28 gram otherwise 24 gram
  6. Browning for me. Thats why i shoot a Miroku MK 38 Trap fitted with a mk 38 sporter stock. I would favour the B525 over the standard miroku mk38 sporter as they are very muzzle heavy.
  7. What ever beretta you had that fitted, get the drop at comb and heel measurements and apply it to the new gun you buy.
  8. To muzzle heavy for me. try to get a fixed choke version. they made some 1/2 and 3/4 choke though second hand you would have to look for.
  9. I took a friend of mine to the midland game fair last year. he bought a B725 sporter 30" m/c he loves it.
  10. Yes thats true. Everyone is just getting better and better. You don't generally get paid for shooting a 90 these days at ESP and it all or nothing for underarm skeet.
  11. I am still a member of the English one hundred straight club. They still have a shoot every year for those in it,there are hundreds of people in it now days.
  12. i hope geurini's gunsmiths ready. I bought a essex sporter 32" 20 bore, forend split after three thousand shots, packed up once would not fire, gunsmith put it right. after ten thousand shells loose floppy an when i traded it lost loads more than a browning or a beretta would. it shot really well though and the best 20 to shoot with i have had. but there really are just run of the mill italian guns with fabarm parts. would not buy another. browning should start making a 32" 20 bore sporter then i might have another look. great for pheasent shooting though that geurini was though.
  13. Try both eyes shut. Just jokeing
  14. Are the people your refer to are known as sandbagers. What is wrong that most of the year i have to shoot against AAA shooters in AA class as there not enough of them to have ther own class a normal registered shoots. These guys shoot six days a week and i only a weekends. where do they get the money from (sponsors)
  15. if the shoot was registered, he would only be aloud one card anyway. So how did he get three. And its choice of the shooter if he requires to pull out. And the score card would still go into the club house for scoring, and the master card the ref has, if it was sporting would be marked to. they club can still send the score to the cpsa but hey dont bother so why is the cpsa to blam.
  16. i have had a few twentys in my time. Decent only one, caesar guerini. By that i mean decent to shoot with. they wear out fast and dont hold there money very well. defo Browning over beretta though. A six pound 20 bore is like trying to shoot with a whip, waste of time.
  17. I would vote for nigel teague, he has done a few guns of mine over the years. Always done a great job.
  18. funny you should say that. I went out pigeon shooting last week in the snow and after ten minuets of walking across the field my right foot was soaking wet and freezing cold. when returning home a split between the sole and the rubber, left side inch long. tried to repair it keeps splitting open. had them 4 years le chameau vizonord and my third pair of them. Cheapest i could find a new pair was £150. So i have just orderd my first pair of muck boots. wonder if they will do four years. But Maybe you have a point,i always drive with my wellies on, maybe the flexing done them in this time round, but barbed wire done the last pair for sure.
  19. My view is. light guns are great for carrying, bad for shooting. sbs, is made lighter around the 6,lb mark for game bird shooting. they usally shoot a little high as they are designed for driven birds.I also find alot of o/u 20 bores suffer this two as most of the gunmakers are still trying to build scaled down guns of tradtion, which does not really work that well for acurate shooting. though if you are a youth or a lady it might help matters out a little due to being lighter and more manoverable. Saying that I have a few friends that shoot quite straight with sbs.
  20. My advise would be to use Nigel Teague in gloustershire he has a courier section 5 collection and delivery service. he is the best there is around. you will find the back street gunsmith with lap the bores out, you really want them machined out and polished or if you shoot a regular cartridge you can have it regulated to that after being bored out, which i think in not such a good idea. where ever you send it make sure they are machined out and not lapped. I dont know of any gunshops that would be able to bore out your barrels without sending them away. Another place you can try would be Benjamin Wild and sons in Birmingham, again though you would need a section 5 courier. Teague has bored some guns for me over the years and always has been brilliant and the customer service to. cannot help much more than that really. best of luck with your quest.
  21. yes mate is a great air rifle for the money. i have ione in .177 with a bushnell scope on. the only thing i can nock them for is the magnatized air filler cap with the rubber o-ring in them. I have lost two of them creeping around the fields. so i bought yet another one but leave in the draw. just got a tyre valve cap pushed over it to keep the water out. spoken with daystate about this told em to thread the cap like proper air rifles.
  22. Give francis lovel +co a call. just up the road from Witney. you will find them with a search engine. Or you could try clay shooting r us on the A329 near oxfordshire golf course, again in the search bar. but ring them first to save you time and effort.
