    Did you do a lot of short journeys in it? They will knacker any modern diesel.

    When I finished work during Covid I sold my Diesel and bought a Petrol to avoid all the issues of Diesels and short journeys. Been great and no issues with mainly short trips.

    Having had 3 Disco's (1 x 1 & 2 x 2's) and a 170 BHP 4 x 4 Yeti as shooting vehicles my current 2014 CVT Petrol Forester is the best shooting truck I have had. Absolutely love it.

    2014. No you can't get a Diesel, they are all Petrol Hybrids now.

    I had a 2015 170 BHP DSG Yeti before my Forester, the Forester is better. The Yeti was very good though.

    I have a Forester with CVT and it is absolutely fine. You can also change gears manually with paddles on the steering wheel if that is your thing.

    Yes a bit long but it must be factory standard, if it's cheap enough get it shortened.
