  4. Hi lads Im looking for a gun for decoying shooting crows, game shooting and shooting sporting clays with a few friends I currently use my trap gun but I would like to use a different gun for this. I have been looking at something like a beretta 682 gold e adj stock 32" sporter, a beretta al 391 or some of the other semi auto's although I havent handled them. I would just like some input and I would appreciate all feedback many thanks in advance john
  5. Appreciate all the replies lads thank you Now to find a good coach in Ireland
  6. Hi lads I currently shoot some DTL and ABT recreationally. Last saturday I scored 90-264 and my best has been 96-280. and abt 77 and 84 I normally shoot at informal clays with friends and at un registered shoots. Im hoping to get more involved in the registered shooting here in ireland The gun I use Is an old perazzi mx8 with 29 3/4 " barrels. I know a few experienced shots and they seem to be of the opinion that I would be better off with a 32" barreled gun If I want to improve. With their help I have raised the stock with a comb raiser as the gun was shooting flat. or to rephrase better the stock was low I have used a 32" kemen and I shot 5/5 with it and It felt nice. Im 6ft 3" if that makes any difference. I would like to anyones opinion and take on this please and what upgrade they would reccomend if any all feed back welcomed. I have been looking at kemen km4's at around £2800-£3000 and a fairly fresh perazzi mx8 at £3100 but this has 30 3/4" barrels. Many thanks in advance john
  7. What about the .20 tactical/practical or 20 vartarg / 20 vartarg turbo or 17 fireball
  8. Trade in the al391 for an extrema or steel proof al391 dont buy a hatsan, Its like going from a ducati 1098 to a scooter!!
  9. I would reccomend the zeiss duralyt 3-12x50 or a second hand S&B in the same mag range As suggested above the S&B 8x56 is one of the finest lamping scope ever made
  10. Yes the 32 grain have been known to cause splash wounds on foxes, in my opinion the 45 hornady soft point would be a better choice for foxes. unless you reload and use the 39 grn sbk or other 40 grn offerings. If you reload have a look at the 20 tactical same velocities less powder

  16. Hi lads , Having just sold my 17hmr for £500 Im in the fortunate position to buy a .223 varminting setup. Ive between 2500k to 3000k to spend on everything this includes scope mod bipod mounts etc. Ive been looking at something like a tikka varmint, or second hand sako possibly, I would prrefer if it was 1 - 8 twist The guns main uses will be informal targets i.e gongs crows rabbits and some fox shooting, I would prefer a high magnification scope. Any suggestions on a setup would be appreciated. manythanks john
  17. If your putting them in a perazzi its much handier to just drop out the trigger,i.e push safety forward and pull it out then release the springs, use a towel as they could cut you also you have to cock the second one. Job Done then put all back in.
