  1. Homeloading for them is easy. Component wise just use the clay and game wads and blue dot or steel as that's what's easiest to get hold of.
  2. That would be great! Only reason I have the stuff is because I use it in the 10! Il pm you my email, Cheers
  3. Does anyone have load data for 2 3/4 or 3" lead loads using blue dot and cheddite cases. Looking 36 - 40 gram I've got a tub of alliant blue dot to use up, thought I'd maybe make some nice goose loads for Scotland. Cheers
  4. Depends what I can get but the gamebore blackgolds are decent. Hull high phesant extreme are phenomenal cartridges but pricey Rc sipe are also nice
  5. Got a nikko stirling 4-16x42 on mine and it's alright for the money. Ffp and Mill is the way forward with fac air rifles and slug ammo
  6. A .22 doesn't have much in it so nothing fancy is needed. I have a sak on mine and with sub sonics all you hear is the firing pin hit the case
  7. Bridges should be done propperley and looked after/inspected each season before use. We used old telegraph poles bolted together then put some slats covered in wire over the stop to stop people slipping. Also no matter how small the shoot you should really have a risk assessment!
  8. No point cleaning them, most manufacturers say you shouldn't either. Round count its in the thousand I'd think. Atleast mine is!
  9. Thing is if you leave it on you end up with a grinding paste which knackers your gun. That gun grease is an absolute fortune for a tiny tub and it is literally just high temperature grease used on every bit of machinery ever!
  10. I just use a big pot of automotive grease, A smear on the hinge pins and bites. It's so cheap I just rub it off when I clean in and re apply
  11. Agreed I'd rather pay 50 quid for a test than cause someone life changing injuries or death. You shouldn't be involved in anything to do with shooting if your not responsible enough to get a simple test done for saftey in my eyes. The law is the law for a reason.
  12. There's a test center in Sheffield and Liverpool, If you can get into hull the dive ship on the marina or duncans down Willerby Road the get a load together and send of a batch to test, takes about 3-4 weeks. As for the comment above, if you knowingly are filling a dive cylinder out if test as part of a business you are breaking the law. Quite frankly that guys a bloody idiot and could really hurt someone, he should be reported to HSE immediately before he kills or injures himself or others.
  13. For sale best fittings 300 bar din adapter to fill air rifle. £50 posted
  14. For sale, comes with sun shade, flip up caps, side wheel and mounts. Selling do to no longer using it, has a cut out on the side wheel to accommodate air arms magazine. Looking for £125 postage included Perfect for air rifle or rimfire, it's a great scope just no use for itany more!
  15. Is it a boresnake branded bore snake? Just wondering?
  16. Personally I'd stay away from them, absolutely **** with no killing power! There's a thread I started with has had alot of feedback on them! I'm going to try hull and gamebores offerings to see if they match up to my normal super steels next season
  17. For the fibre wad data you will find you can get a better crimp with the smaller shot cups. I use the smaller ones in 10 gauge and can get 42 gram of bb in with 3mm cork spacer underneath Tight fit but better crimps overall.
  18. If it's 2 3/4" Chambers and nitro proofed you can throw standard steel through it.
  19. Seating depth for each bullet is different depending on length but all should be under the CIP or SAMMI max length. Personally throw it out the window and get a bullet comparator it allows you to measure the ogive. seat the bullet off the lands 10 thou and once you have your powder charge adjust in 5 thou increments back untill you hit the sweet spot. It's alot more consistent and accurate than measuring the coal. Bullet to ogive (BTO) is the way most people do it now.
  20. Thing is they don't even need to, the new generation of steel orientated powders the pressure is well below what cip states as max... I can not wait for high performance (1500 fps +) with bio wads to hit the market in america. Would be an absolute game changer where steel shot is concerned and show the world what propper cartridges can actually do.
  21. 100% agree with you. In the us kent (gamebores owners) have a cartridge called fast steel 2.0 that does about 1550fps. It's easy with modern powders to keep the pressure down but get the velocity up. With steel speed genuinely kills. Driven light and fast the kills are very good. I use 42 gram bb in 10 bore which is lighter than the normal 48 gram load and it really does work well. As for eley - their QC must be a joke as ive brought a slab of vip 28 gauge and they rip the crimps off on firing and had the knock down power of a wet ****. Will never ever buy them again now I've been bitten twice.
