    I found out on Friday I was successful on my bid but in the last sealed bid auction it was a few days after in which time I bought another gun thinking I hadn’t been successful 😂 some great bargain by the look of the realised price list!

    I'm in Hampshire & my wife was asked questions about my applicability when the FEO visited. She was taken into another room away from me to speak.

    I’m ex RN myself but from here originally. It’s good for canadas and have had some mallard and teal but they are few and far between. I’m about 4 mins from home where I park to enter the marsh so it is ideal for me and keeps me keen! The club had woodland in seasons past but we no longer have the lease. I believe the committee keep an eye out to get some more though.

    I meant no offence by my comments I understand why it is the way it is and you don’t walk into perms too easy but as you say age doesn’t help when the winter hits and may be why it’s rare to see others out. I’ve not made a huge effort to secure my own perm as like you say work gets in the way for us that still work, it must be good to dedicate more time to shoot when work ceases 😁. I had a decent amount of shooting last year approx 50 foreshore outings, a beaters day, a few paid driven & rough days and a couple of paid days on the pigeons. joined a syndicate for next season and will renew my Wildfowling membership. May have a bit of shooting over the summer with the keeper and a few others and that will probably be enough for me personally.

    I totally understand that too. I would be the same. Just think this may be why Old’un doesn’t see as many shooters out anymore? I’ve paid to shoot pigeons last year but I think this sets a bad precedent and shouldn’t even happen but needs must. Sure would! Fingers crossed.

    Seems most land have the old guard holding on to them so not many about for younger shooters to get on? Still on the hunt for a perm and will keep knocking, posting cards, beating and paying for days in the hope I’ll get one at some point.

    I’ve got the facelift mk7.5 with the DSG and it is great. I don’t think I would want a manual again after this. Launch control is pretty epic too 😂.

    I've got a Golf R had it since 2020. Just look out for leaking water pump issue! I had mine fixed under warranty but it can be expensive to fix. Other than that fingers crossed no issues.

    Still really torn, anybody used CFG Switch? How are they for still hearing things whilst wearing them?

    I say wildfowling as this is where they’ll be getting most use over the season. Not expecting them to last decades but at least a few. these are also tempting I like the way you can recharge them like air pods. I did read a lot of mixed reviews on Amazon though especially regarding white noise feedback and them switching off randomly.

    Hi everyone, I'm after some information on anyone that has used SC20's. There isn't any detailed information on these that I have been able to find. The price is great for the custom moulded version with the 10% off approx. £315, a lot cheaper than CFG or CENS. I want to know if the enhanced version would be good for wildfowling with the wind noise and wet conditions. Also do you have to remove the batteries each use as by the look of the pictures on the box there is no on/off switch. If anyone has the user guide that would be great for me to have a further read. I really don't want to pay 6/700 for ear protection, I currently wear one disposable plug if I bother at all as I like the situational awareness of what is around me. Any advice or user experience is appreciated.

    Even if he had only shot 10 the offer would have been well received by whoever took up the offer to get out. If I had took up the offer I would be so grateful no matter what the bag. The chance very rarely happens so we should thank him for his kindness. Anybody down south fancy a +1 😂
