  3. Hi fellas Been a few while since i was on the site, very busy with work, but that has sorted itself out Looking to book pigeon shooting in either sourthern ireland or the west of scotland for next year I am based in northern ireland Couple of days decoying and perhaps some roost shooting is what im after Very experienced gun with 35 years on the clock Just no pigeon down my way now at all,its all grass,no crop Thanks William
  4. Fantastic pictures of a great days sport Have you ever thought of sending some in to the countryfile calendar competion, that would give john craven something to study!
  5. What sort of work is the vessel doing and whereabouts in the world are you,it does not look like the north sea! Just read the title properly,i see you are in thailand.
  6. That is a lovely looking piece of kit,let us know how it shoots
  7. It is legal to lamp in n.ireland, depending on where i am shooting i ring the peelers to let them know what area i will be in and they have never questioned it.The only problem is there has been so many rifles handed out here in the last couple of years that every plonker and his mate are running round the country without a clue what they are doing, end result is you put the lamp on a fox and hes away like a shot!
  8. Have you tried sandeels? We always get our best pollock on fresh eels, had fish to 12lb on them, now they really take some holding back!
  9. You have your pollocks in your left hand there but what have you got in your right hand It would not happen to be your jelly worm would it! Brilliant pics mate, looks like a cracking days fun
  10. Great write up and pics mate, that mark you were on for the wrasse looks like it should be good for a few pollock or coalie?
  11. You mean to say that in the north of scotland it was not raining!
  12. Are you sure you need a licence? The law says you can fish 5 creels and land 5 crabs +1 lobster per day without a licence so surely you can cleek[thats what you call it in ulster]a few holes at low tide without the long arm of the fisheries dept being too bothered. We fish 90 pots and i took 120lb of lobsters to market for a weeks fishing today, but i still love cleeking a fella out of his hole on a big spring tide, must be the hunting gene that we have in us! The place that buys my lobster,he buys from all over ireland and scotland, keep them in tanks and ship them to france/spain every week and as of this morning the owner reckoned he had approx 6 ton of lobsters waiting to go ,so they are still quite popular on the continent. I must take a few pics the next time i am up with him and post some
  13. You have the makings of two excellent dinners there mate, well done
