Sorry if this sounds a silly question, but what exactly is a straw ride? As just had my first shoot day and someone mentioned I should use straw rides to keep the birds busy

I have been told by the land owner that he has spotted a couple of muntjac on the land, I've never seen any up here but he's sure he's seen them, how do I go about finding this elusive animal? I'm guessing an early morning walk around, but do I concentrate on the hedgerows or the wood sides?

no i wouldn't but its the way the boss wants it, we beat all the pens out from day one then spend the rest of the day moving the birds around the estate until the end drive where it sends them back to the pen areas

they changed it as on my very first form i had to list convictions then on the renewals i didn't have to list them again, but last years form the wording have changed so when i called the feo he said they needed to be listed now on every renewal I would put them down

Well the time is coming and next weekend will be my first shoot day, excited and nervous at the same time. On two of the drives we will be beating out the pens and i was wondering should i cut a hole in the pen on where i would like them to trickle out?
