I invited Motty on this shoot but he was busy and I am sure he would of had a similar bag as well if he could of come, work comes first .

Quite pleased as I used 3 different brands of shell 100 Black gold 32 gram ,100 eley high bird fibre wad {did struggle with these to start with }then some Gamebore steel 32 gram 4s these were very good .I don't like changing shells but they were gifts from farmers for shooting pigeons etc.

I would lay money on that, shot it about 10 days ago and managed about 50 before a bad head sent me home for bed . I stopped using rotary's a while back because we had a contract pea grower who let anyone from miles around to shoot all his rented fields and these people all used rotary's whether they were needed or not some of them camped out for 3 days at a time on the same spot ,so they didn't work anymore only as a deterrent..

I have been watching a bean field for a week and knew it would produce as there is a very strong flight line up this field . I got to the field at 7.30 as they had been moving very early on ,just got set up and it rained so the 5 dead birds I brought along were now wet ,oh well put them on the rotary and one on a flapper ,I don't normally use gadgets but I decided these would be a big bonus on this field as its 40 plus acres . The birds were a bit flighty to start with but as I added more to the pattern they became more confident and it was constant until 4.00 pm and then it just stopped shot just over 300 cartridges for 201 woodies picked and 2 jackdaws .

Well motty you stood me up for THAT! I saw a seagull and a egret on the marsh ,bet your sorry now!!!!!!

A few seasons back a farmer asked me to cull some greys on his reservoir as they were getting a bit out of control ,anyway we shot 18 and when we breasted out these birds all but a young bird had shot in them all lead! and several had air rifle pellets in them mostly 22 I was very surprised how many were carrying shot.

I totally agree we need to take a few more we should heed this warning and reduce their numbers in problem areas .

Yes I know how you feel, but maybe we should shoot more greys and reduce there numbers a bit and try and keep them of the general licence,just a thought.

Looking for some advice on a good scope light for my 22lr and my hmr 17 not looking to spend loads but any help would be appreciated .

Top one is 17 hmr very clean yes probably correct on the 22 but its very tidy and shoot tight group at 60 yards so im happy

Nice idea I use two hazel stick that are similar to fishing rod rest works great for me .

We will mate , and you can put a rusty shell up the spout again ,will match you on the pinks this year .we will have to shoot some woodies together soon as well . got some laid barley this way they are starting to hit.

It all comes down to one fact, how many shots you have a season if its only 50 or so ten don't bother it will cost you more money than you save.

december 8 done Bit of fowling I filmed a couple of seasons ago with my brother . sorry not worked will try again.

These thoughts have been crossing my mind too of a lot closer ties between all the east coast clubs to have a stronger position to deal with any threat that arises.
