  1. just thought id let all you ex-squadies know there is now a new forum just been set up, seeing as there isnt any really dedicated sites out there. if you fancy a look, then go here: civvies its only just started out, so bear that in mind when you visit {might look a little empty} but with some new members {and im sure there will be many} the place will soon liven up.... thanks to all for taking the time to read, and maybe even look at the site
  2. pete, got agree with you about keeping safe, but there must be some really stupid anti's out there if they want to start anything with a man and his gun.......... i do like the idea of having heated debates with "them". although i tend to win one way or the "other"...........he he he several black eyes later, they normanly come around to my point of veiw......works a treet !!! :yp:
  3. britney spears: oops i did it again......!! nah just kidding, would slot myself before listening to that garbage......... bon jovi: wanted dead or alive !!! or my favourite.... bryan adams: please forgive me !!! B)
  4. love it, B) fpmsl....... had visions of rolf in advantage timber, with his roo gun with lamp on top, before skinning them for a b-b-q..... you dont have to tell me i already know...........### up in the head !!
  5. its a shame to say, but society is getting worse. i grew up in a really rough area of liverpool{one of the rougheset im always being told} and yes there are nice areas in liverpool.....anyway, my grandad had his shed robbed of all his carpentery tools and power tools, by some smackheads. he used to make dolls houses and donate them to schools and charitys to raffle off and other stuff.....the good thing for us is, that in areas like this the good folk all stick together, and they were ratted out within a few hours. what they didnt realise is that my family are well "known" shall we say, and they had a "visit" with all the ususal bells and whistles. and were given a few hours to get the stuff back in place with an apology, or face the consequences........needless to say, it was all back ..every last piece !! and the police will actively encourage you to do it this way {unofficially of course}, they tend to turn a blind eye in these cases........
  6. looks like you had one to many there yp !!
  7. the smoking them out thing works well. but its hard going in the winter as they have two levels they operate in. the higher level in summer, then they move down to the lower levels when it getts cold, they also give birth in the lower levels to. thats why you dont see as many in the winter. like the chewing gum idea, my missus' sunday roast is bound to kill them all off for at least a few years....... although i have my own veriation on the chewing gum idea ....its called "chewing gun" !!
  8. its all lies boys... it isnt the government who runs the show its the "eu". they decide where peeps{spanish, and french} can net fish. so the government are pulling the wool, as usual. besides they would never be able to police it with bailiffs. just to much coast line to cover, and alot of it is inaccessible to humans, so whats the point !!?? you would need full time defra paid bailiffs in huge amounts to do it all, and even then you would only be touching the tip of the iceberg. although i agree we need to do something about the bass stocks..........
  9. now sold folks. it was advertised on a few sites and as such was snapped up at this price !! you know what they say...............fastest fingers first !!
  10. due to unforseen circumstances,{serious lack of funds} i have to sell my lovely air arms tx200 hunting combo..... the combo consists of: a tuned and whisper quiet air arms tx200 mk3 rifle .22 in exellent conditon. a walther 3-9x56 ir scope{very good twilight scope} sportsmatch one piece mount and fitted leather sling stock 99% action 99% this rifle has really been looked after, and im gutted to let it go. its either that or sell my **** !!! and i know how much ill get for that....thats why the tx has to go !!! £220 + post of your choice pics on request
  11. my i personaly say how much guts that took, to say such things about a family member on a public forum. it shows great character and inner strenth from a man who i dare say resembles his father in so many ways. and will no doubt carry on his good work. take solice in the fact your father is, and always will be, exceptionaly proud of you no matter what. im not normaly an emotional man, but i shed a tear when reading your post and all the heart warming replies to it. somebody once said: "we grieve the loss of our loved ones because there not there for us to see. but its only our loved ones who really know that they havent left us at all, and wait for the next meeting some time in the future" you never really lose them, they are always around us. its just you cant see them. but they can see and hear you..............its just they got to the next step in life before all the rest. and can see the bigger picture now be strong my friend, and make him proud !! good luck..........
  12. id reckon up a road like many other vehicles.................. they do have very large trucks to carry the pine when its cut down for lumber you know........the yanks ones are always bigger than ours.its the way they like it......little man syndrome !!!
  13. theres your problem right there.......you've got norton on your pc !! its more trouble than its worth mate........didnt find a sausage on my comp then ran avast{free} and found loads of viruses and trojens.....binned it after that and kept avast. free and much better !!
  14. id say thats real enough. it is casting a shadow on his right shoulder, and he is stood right next to it, so his shadow will be mixed with the hogs. plus the way the sun is shining and the angle of the shot is taken, you wont see much of one anyway but like they say !! " only in the US of A "
  15. i recommend you come off the "evostick" and try somthing a little less harsh, your talking boll*cks mate!!
  16. aled it sound like you have an unhealthy appitite for badgers mate. i just hope you dont mess with them mate. and the law isnt likely to change for some time mate, you and me both will be long gone before that happens !! they have been humanised mate !! what with badgers and mashed potatoe and stuff...{cbbc} besides they do have a certain character of there own. not like old scaly tail, or bugs!!
  17. was named this after a holiday to benidorm years ago were i quite literaly *****ed for england, and generally terrorised the female presence there for two weeks solid. apparently its the name of one of the most famous mafia body guards today, and he was/is a bit of a womanising, weight pumping, short fused, beast........ and so the name was born !! not that im like that anymore, honest ma'lord..... well behaved now, and yes there is a woman who actually managed to tame ole' sammy.........its a bl00dy miricle !!
  18. a good thing i saw on tv was to put human hair into old tights and place them at intervals around the area tobe protected. the sent is enough to be carried a good distance and deter them. the trick was used with foxes and it worked well too, but i dont see why it cant be addapted for badgers. they run a mile at the smell of a human scent........just get the hair from your local barber shop........hope it helps your carrots matey
  19. had the opportunity to fish the river dever in hants, the one that runs past the legandary dever springs fishery, when i was in the army. it ran through the training area, so nobody except military could be on there......i had some real beauties from there. and a still to this day unexplained torpedo that totaly smashed me. in fact it tore of down the river like a bat out of hell. im convinced it was one of dever springs 100lbs ers. never seen anything like it to this day. not carp, pike, or barbel could match the speed or power.......still a wonderfull evening though ah memories.............
  20. american signal crayfish are and introduced species, probably by the antis. anyway i know in one of the london parks they have to net hundreds every day in the lakes in there because of the damage to fish stocks in the lakes. not only do they do this but they carry a parisite that kills our own indiginous species. and as far as im aware its not illeagal. anyway i dont know any bailiff who would want to keep them, as they serve no purpose in our waters. pike do the clear ups of dead fish.......although according to mr hugh fairnly whittingstall{river cottage series} they are very good eating. bit like mini lobster he reckons and he knows his food alright !! good idea is to do a search for crayfish traps on google !! good luck mate
  21. oops nearly forgot. i could never tire of his lordship. besides he could never gather dust, you have to be stood still for that........moves like a blue ***** fly !!
  22. top one isnt a aa s410k its a springer spanial !! and lord of the manor he'll have you know.......... im suprised nobody got them all right...rarms was close but no cigar top: the pooch...judging by the size of his craps...50 cal next: airarms s410k with logun lamp on top .22, topped with simmons 2.5x10x50 pro50 then: air arms tx200 mk3 .22, topped with walther 3x9x56ir finaly: a real classic, for me anyway. the sharp innova .177 topped with tasco 3x9x40 and retro fit silencer im looking for another s410k, but in .177. was going to get an mfr but had a go of one the other day and it was like firing a log !! to bulky for me...nice rifle but just to bulky. the s410 is slim sleek and sexy just like its owner......... getting tired of the tx200 aswell. and even my sharp is gathering dust since the s410 arrived.
