There must be a few lads on here who work their terriers to fox and rats , i've been reading a few books about the subject recently just for something a bit different and its sparked off a bit of a interest . Just wanted to know how you started , and what terriers you use ? Any advice for someone who would like to get involved ?

Bsa super 10 mk 3 Excellent rifles , big shot count , cheap as chips s/h leaving you plenty of money for a good scope ( ags swat range ) , diving bottle from a diving shop and there you go ready to go The super 10 is far more reliable than the rapid and never got the recognition they deserve !!!!

The hot weather always makes me more cautious about my ferrets overheating even though there in a shady spot , during the hottest parts of the day i put frozen bottles of water in the sleeping area and in the runs to cool it down . Works a treat ! What do you lads do apart from putting them in a shady spot ATB OSK

Maybe it was only the airborne who got tinc'd

Inject your blisters with tinc-benzine !!! Stings like crazy but hardens and promotes healing , plus you can run on them near enough straight the way

Very often when i'm away i have to take 3-4 books because i read so much so this would be more convenient for me

Thinking of buying one as i read a lot and it would save a fortune in books and a lot of waiting for delivery . Does anyone have one and are they worth the money

Some good news , as some have you know i have a new permission I have been ferreting it all last year and basically had free reign to go where i want . He is a sheep farmer and i noticed a dead yew the other day that had by the looks of things had a fox at it , reported it to him and he said that he doesn't control them himself as he only has a shotgun himself and he usually rings the estate keeper from the next village to do it  and this is the best bit would i fancy doing the job !!!! Too bloody right i would , i explained i would need to put in for a F.A.C to be able to do the job properly and it might take a bit of time for them to come through , he was happy with that and said to let him know when i have applied and when i get my rifle . HAPPY DAYS OR WHAT LAD'S But will i get the calibre i need on my first ticket do you think ? I know the farmer is happy to wait so do you think it would be wise to find someone to mentor me and just let me shadow them for a few weeks Would anyone on the site let me tag along with them for a couple of trips out and let me bug the with endless questions O.S.K
