  1. my dog is about 3 years old and he was originally my sister's so have been around him his whole life, he used to be as you explain but in the last couple of months has become much steadier and less excitable around other dogs
  2. i have a beretta 686 silver perdiz that is in excellent condition however i am soon to be taking it to a gun shop to see what they would give me for it on a 28 bore that is worth around £600. (i cant be dealing with selling it privatley after recent events ) How much should i be looking for from the gunshop, a straight swap?, i will take some piccies if that would help
  3. i have remington 1100 barrel which is a 26 inch skeet barrel chambered 2- 3/4 inch, how much is it worth and also do barrels have to be on certificate?
  4. i have some photos but not really adequate ones , just read the message again and he says the 'centre rib by the forend is hanging off'
  5. i doubt it as i took it in to the shop packaged and ready to go, nigel teague did have it a week before to see if he could alter the stock so surely he would of picked up on anything majorly deffective but maybe not
  6. It wasnt sent via post office it was RFD to RFD transfer
  7. it was through RFD transfer so im not sure what company it was sent through
  8. Many of you might know i was selling my winchester to hardwoods green off of this forum and he asked for it to be sent via RFD, I took the gun to pieces and wrapped them up in many layers of newspaper so it could not be seen throuugh the bubble wrap and then wrapped each piece in bubble wrap and slotted them inside a the slip that i got with the gun originally which is quite a thick slip you couldnt feel the individual pieces if you felt the package. I sent it off and got a message from hardwoods green this morning says that he was dissapointed with the condition of the gun and that there was a dent in the bottom barrel and that the rib was hanging off, do i have any comeback on this? or am i going to have to pay damages, obviously i will be giving hardwoods green a full refund.
  9. thats why all of my farmers let me shoot to get rid of the vermin, its a win win situation farmer gets pests sorted out and you get to shoot
  10. The thing about pigeon shooting is its not 'set in stone' if the birds are there then do your recce and find out what time of the day they feed there. Just because you have a field of rape doesnt mean you can go there set up some decoys and hope the pigeons will come. If they are feeding on it look for flightpaths in and out of the field and make sure your well hidden and set up your decoys, the basics can be found on the web with a quick google search if you dont know them
  11. at least you tried your best to reach the wounded animal - a fine example of even the pros get it wrong sometimes
  12. it is a left hander but it is sold pending the usual
  13. For sale i have a winchester grand european trap gun. ithas been teagued and comes with a set of teague chokes - cylinder 1/4 3/4 and two fulls. The bluing has worn a little thin near the muzzles and it comes with a winchester slip. It also has a left handed palm swell. I dont really know how to value this gun but after some debate i will start it at £850 and see what happens but always open to offers

  16. here you are coach, it is in good condition but the bluing is starting to wear a little thin underneath the barrels near the muzzles
  17. i have a good condition winchester grand european trap 12 bore. My original plan was to 'sporterise' it, but the gunsmith cannot bend the wood far enough for me. It is teague choked and has lovely wood on it and comes with 5 chokes, but how much is it worth?
  18. lol i would advise disposing of them in the cage. My gramp was telling me that he caught this fox he had been after for a while and decided to do the same thing, and he missed it
  19. recently refinished my newly acquired winchester, couldnt get on with it at first, turns out the oil had been left too long so bought a new bottle and it came up a dream
