1000 Lyalvale Power Gold 7.5 28gram Fibre Wad 12 gauge Cartridges
mjj160 replied to Dcd87's topic in Other Sales
Was interested in your cartridges that you have for sale, but think you are quite a bit over the top, with your pricing as these cartridges can be bought for £230 in the shops, so no incentive to buy yours. Maybe have a think on the price or just use them. -
Long Shot, but what I am looking for is a mint condition semi auto Rimfire Magic .22LR fitted with a Volquartsen 16" carbon wrapped barrel complete with muzzle break. All this fitted into a RH thumbhole stock. If you have one and considering selling then please send photo and price to mjjennings@hotmail.co.uk Thanks

I use 24grains of Hodgson H335 with 55g V Max bullets, in my .Tikka T3 in 223 calibre with 20 inch barrel, this gives 2800 FPS. and not had any complaints from Mr Fox. However if I was just starting out reloading I would look at using Vhit powder as its cheaper and more readily available, maybe go this route myself if can be bothered to do the load development once again Get your mate who is lending you the gear to give you some tuition first so that you know exactly what to do. its not rocket science !! By the way this is a hobby in itself !!

22lr range for subsonics and zeroing range differs by so much?
mjj160 replied to TaxiDriver's topic in Guns & Equipment
I use my Sako Quad 22LR fitted with Hawke 4-16x 50 scope on golf course's to which I have found that I can not get as near to the bunnies as I would like, as they see me and are off. So what I have done is experiment with using the scopes mildots as an aiming point, only thing one needs to do is have accurate distances, since I am not too good at guessing them I have invested in a range finder. Therefore this is what I have found and works for me. 35m -- 2 mildots up 50m -- 1 mildot up 75m -- Zero 85m -- 1 mildot down 100m -- 2mildots down Using eley subsonics as found them to be very accurate in this rifle Mike -
When I saw it was the Stobswood shoot I asummed that it was local to Stobswood, nice countryside though. Mike

I only live in Felton and I don,t recognise anywhere on the photo,s just goes to show one thinks he knows the area well, looks a great place for shooting the bunnies with a .22 as well. Lucky you. Mike

I use 24 gn H335 powder with CCI benchrest primers, 55gr V max bullets, winchester cases. this gives me 2860fps from my Tikka t3 super varmit with 20" barrel. I find this to be very accurate, I use this for long range rabbits, foxes, and often take to range for target work. Regards Mike

Yes the brown malt vinegar works just as well, buy mine from sainsburys at 13p for 500ml. Mike
