  1. I have a magpie call bird for six years. Never thought they would survive that long.I set the trap in an open front shed from sep/oct depending on weather until march to provide extra shelter. It still catches throughout that time. Feed it canned dog food but i'll look at dried nuts.

  3. Second that. I enquired about one and they sent replacement f o c. Excellent service.
  4. Try Simpsons of newmarket. Cheapest i could find. No connection to shop. Just great service and price. https://simpsonsofnewmarket.co.uk/clay-shooting/spare-chokes/12ga-beretta-optima-flushfit
  5. Very nice. I use the same idea, only got socks sewed up {from a black bed sheet} and slip them over the body. They are stapeled at the front on top and bottom. The wind then fills them out giving a bigger profile and allows some movement.
  6. They are available in fibre wad as well just a bit more expensive. I've been using them extensively, for clays and pigeon/crows, since they came out. Great shell.
  7. I have a 20g 687 silver pigeon and it has mallard, grouse and partridge engraving.
  8. For sale. One 1/4 optima choke, yellow band. One 1/2 optima choke green band. £25 each +postage at cost.
  9. Cheap canned dog food. Feeds it for 3 or 4 days. One of my call birds is in its third year and catches during the winter months as well. Just set the trap in an open fronted shed for extra shelter.
  10. Air rifle pellets don't go on FAC so that will be 1000 rimfire ammo. That condition seems to be for new certificates. They haven't taken previous experience into consideration.
  11. . Spouting and down pipe to divert water.
  12. A mate had them. Total rubbish, Very thin walled and no spike.
  13. I charge mine for 2 hrs and they last all day with an intermittent timer. A charger which shows fully charged would be a great help.Unfortunately i haven't got one.
  14. Blackwitch is the stuff Diverdave recommends for neoprene repairs. Are boots not stitched on to the legs and then the join covered with tape? I know Diverdave can replace stocking feet to waders but not sure about boots. Check out his website. What he doesn't know about repairs is not worth knowing. https://sites.google.com/site/wadersrepairs/
  15. 65 corvids and 5 magpies,decoying on maize stubble. 7269
  16. Checked two different stubbles yesterday and crows and pigeons were happily feeding together, all mixed in with each other. Put both pigeon and crow decoys out but only the crows played ball. 69 for an afternoon. The pigeons have got a real hammering around here and just went to another stubble. I found them on way home.
