  1. Well done BB . Knowing your land is half the battle, your freezers will be getting full?

Again well done you deserve the bag for the effort you put in, thanks for posting and letting us old ones see what’s about.

Yes good to hear from sufferers and supporters.

If NOTHING ELSE this outpouring of support is bringing this terrible disease to the front of many people's minds.

Yes , don’t be scared to talk about it.

  3. I hope the preventative chemo works well. My last twelve months have been on a four week cycle to to reduce my cancer. This is preventative chemo and steroids. When I was diagnosed my count was 5.9 after twelve months it was reduced to 0.05. I was walking eight miles a day. A month ago I had a full stem cell procedure , lost my hair , not the tash. Lost two stone in weight. I’m currently walking five miles a day and gained eight pounds in weight. I’ve always had a positive attitude about my cancer.

I think Kate has a positive attitude and believe she will continue to improve.

  4. It worries me that I still carry a Swiss Army knife and an Opinel , have done since my teens.

The senseless killing of youths may be a reflection of the computer games which trivialise killing and the gang culture which reward killing.

How are you feeling  now P C ? and do you shoot in these very cold conditions with it being minus 5 down here today .  MM

I’m on the list for a a spare bed and been fitted with a PICC line ready for my stem cell infusion. I’m in good heart and walking five miles every day. I was out with Ben two weeks ago as he had been called out on. A couple of farms and had seen the birds on the field of sprouting beans the day before. I set up the next day but no birds returned walking the field I noticed some drowned worms in the puddles so they may have been feeding on them??

I had a phone call yesterday asking me to be on stand by ready to go to the hospital, so my bag is packed!!

  6. Well done JDog at least you were out, well done.

Walking the dog with my five mile hike along the canal it is amazing with the number of pigeons on the ivy berries. The amount of mature tall trees that look like they are still in full foliage and covered with berries are a feast for the pigeons.

  7. I was invited out by Ben AKA Bunny_Blaster this morning. During the dark/ day break down the motorway all I could see was pigeons feeding on the roadside berries . On arrival to the fields of rape birds were sitting in the trees not attempting to feed on the rape, using my Carp Barrow across the field it was difficult to find any dry areas and the barrow was sinking into the wet areas.
The birds wanted to feed but would hover over the field looking for a dry section which was difficult.
