  1. i disagree, my alsation x collie and alsatian x rottie are brilliant with my nephew, he has poked them in the eye and brushed them in the eye and they do nothing, they look big and nasty but they're soft as the babys ****, if i had any doubts over their temperament they wouldnt be here, simple as that, they know that if they did ( not that they would) snap, theyd be i trouble. maisie is 6 and lets him ride on her, and snoop has tantric moments with the babber, big dogs dont mean big problems with kids, it really is how they're brought up
  2. you can mig aluminium with ali wire but it wont be as good as tig, a good engineering shop wont charge much for a small job
  3. not even cheif mechanics, workshop foreman, etc get that much 10-12 pph normally. the monkeys get £8 if they're any good (in a dealership, my dad works in westerly bmw) as for main dealers, they might as well be quik fit fitters, when i was an apprentice, a full "proper" service would take 3.5-4 hours. This would be everything, check and clean brakes, bearings, tyres, antifreee, grease door hinges, bonnet catches literally everything. my cousin went to mitsubishi with his l200 to keep with the warranty, got rinsed and brought it 2 us to see what they had done, not a lot was the answer, the air filter still had loads of leaves in. my uncle who i worked for and am very tempted to go back to charges £25 ph maybe £30 since i left, and you always get a jetwash, courtesy car etc. yes his garage is quite dirty and his office is a pigsty but then a dirty garage is a busy garage, and the loyalty from his clientel is fantastic he has high overhead costs, but his wife does the billingto keep things reasonable, the problem with dealers is one person generally only does one job, whereas back street mechanics learn everything, so you need less people.
  4. goin to bideford armed with a bottle of russian standard and hat, warm coat etc, then when sufficientlypissed, go clubbin til l4 int'morning, happy new year peeps
  5. my cousin does a lot of moto x and has his own track in the field right next to his house. he come off after landing a bit heavy and landed on a fence stake used as a course marker, smashed his collarbone, not nice to see first hand. his uncle came off at a race meet and got landed on, ruptured his heart and spleen and died in hospital a few hours later. needless to say i prefer tarmac under my wheels.
  6. i think harleys are pants, but then im not 50, and looking for attention. too big, too heavy, too slow. sound ****, nice to have a quick look over when you see one parked up but not my cuppa tea. 2 strokes are the only engines for bikes imo, my 250 would cream all over it. i know thats not the point but its true if thats your bag then good luck with it and ride safe
  7. good choice, before you start shooting it, take off the grip/ butt plug and glue it in, and put some thread tape on the silencer screw end, otherwise they'll come off and be lost
  8. i used to work in w eighbridge in a stone yard, 10 hours of playing whatever music i liked, i got really good at solitaire and minesweeper, tea whenever i wanted. most days i would be tinkering with my bike. wasnt on a bad wage for doing not alot and getting paid scrap monie, backhanders from ****** etc. not as good as some jobs but definately the easiest ive had
  9. any petrol engine needs between 100-120 psi to work properly, any less than 90 and its time for a new piston. sorry, dont know what the clearances are.
  10. if it was to be cost effective, you would be buying the cheapest mineral oil at £3 a litre, the stuff i run my bikes on is £15 a litre, so it would cost loads more, if you want to get extra economy from a diesel, use acetone, not sure of the dosage but i think its 15ml per gallon.
  11. the usb dongles are poor at best, better bet is a pci card, best is a wired connection
  12. i havent heard of any known problems with em yet, has it had a knock, or sat in a dusty place. first thing is try a lens cleaner, then try sony as it will be under warranty still.
  13. as much as i love my .22, why would anyone want to buy two of the same gun?. either calibre will kill your target species, .177 being easier to gauge trajectory.
  14. was a good race, was nice to see no-one fell off in appaling conditions, would have liked to see the 250s go out tho

    snakes?

ive got three, my bci, kes colin, colombian rainbow boa
  16. i fully agree with you peter, whatever i shoot goes to the snake though
  17. not having shot or seen a fox that close, do they have bits like a hyena, where you cant tell the difference? actually scrub that, i just remembered that a hyena is more closley related to giraffes than dogs
  18. that second fox was a beauty, nice work
  19. its unsafe because the screen is about 25-30% of the structural integrity of the roof in a roll over. If its all ready broken it wont absorb as much of the initial, often biggest impact to the roof in a rollover situation
  20. i got 12 but then i dont even shoot the damn things, still should of been better

    Tax

i dont have any personal experience of this, but i would recomend using an accountant, they know all the little ways of saving your money, loop holes etc, he'll probably save you alot more than you pay him
  22. i will buy clean headshot/leadfree rabbits to give to my snake noe shes big enough
  23. i got on with a bipod on my old meteor, i could hit a tiny toy soldier consistantly at 15 metres, with a better scope easily further. tactical xl is lovely
  24. to get the box you have to have a 12 month contract, movies and sports are not compulsary for that contract, so cancelling them wont have an effect.once you have the box it will work as long as you have an activated sky veiwing card, £10 sky charged me for it, we get multi room and sky + for the price of normal sky,
  25. all my snakes are in the front room, makes the cats jump 4 feet vertically when they realise whats in the tanks. shot a pigeon through the neck last week and gave it to my 7 foot boa to chomp on, my royal only eats live mice but my colombian will eat anything.
