  1. So I cannot find anywhere apart from thetford where you can shoot over a single shot .22rf I am looking for a range to shoot .270 Anyone have any ideas
  2. Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction, in regards to shooting lamps for foxes. I want a lamp that is hand held and plugs into a 12 v (cig lighter) socket in a truck, What are the advantages of LED ones verses the ones with bulbs? What to look for when buying one, good brands etc? Price wise.... I am looking for a decent lamp and willing to pay for it! Of course I have had a look online and read many product reviews but would like to know from people that actually use them and can give impartial advice and views on what different lamps ACTUALLY are like to use, rather than just details of them. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help! Tom

  6. Just had the FEO round to check me out for Rimfire FAC, .22 and 17HMR. All OK but he asked if I had experience with the calibers. I had to reply that although I had 30 years with a shotgun and more with an air-rifle, i had not shot a rimfire, tho I am familiar with safety aspects.the ranges they shoot to, ballistics, etc. He told me he would like me to get some experience with someone with a rimfire, just to get a feel of the difference I guess, discuss safe shooting and tips, get a few shots down range etc. He pretty much made it a condition, and to give him a call after, where he would process the application. I asked some questions, it could be an informal session, maybe an hour he suggested. I have no issue with this, a bit suprised maybe, but quite happy to pick up tips and pointers, and talk about shooting! Problem is I don't really know anyone that could help me out, so if any one is up for it, and is in a reasonable distance by car of Stockton on Tees, then I am looking for a volunteer! Actually another member I go shooting with has also applied for his FAC, is in the same area so same FEO, will probably be told the same , so possibly accomodate 2? We would be happy to pay for any ammunition of course, and a 'beer or two' or whatever! Any way, hopefully no harm in asking I hope! 'rimfire-rookie'
  7. Pigeon Watch Airgunners Postal Competition - March. PM Any questions. Please observe the rules. This month the 40 yard class has been changed to a 25 yard class to allow more people to enter. A constructive excercise where by more experienced enterants can comment and advise those who perhaps didnt get the result they would have liked. General Rules: 1 - This is a fun informal competition, So have fun. 2 - Anyone cheating is only cheating themselfs. 3 - Entrys made after the closing date or not on the assigned targets will not be counted. 4 - Entrys must be made in response to this post - either as a linked or embedded image OR video. 5 - Three classes 10 yards, 25 yards, and Extreme. 6 - Rules for specific classes will be stated in the "info" for that class. 7 - All targets should be measured center for center. Entrys from all classes will be accepted from 1st Mar - 25th Mar. 10 Yard Class. PISTOL Target: http://www.targetz.c...tzlib/20023.pdf Info: This Month the 10 yard target is for those pistol shooters amongst us. Shoot 15 shots, one at each bowling pin as fast as you can and as accurately as you can, aiming for the center each time. This will be awkward but; Mark with a pen highlighter or similar a dot no bigger than the size of a 1p on each bowling pen as the aim point. Each shot on the bowling pins must be measured roughly in milimeters to the center of the dot and devided by 15 to work out your average. For example: 15+27+33+22+12+23+56+38+21+5+11+40+44+18+14= 379 379 / 15 = 25.2 Example Score: 25 Simply submit your score. There is no glory in cheating! 25 Yard Class. Target:http://www.targetz.c...tzlib/10148.pdf Info: Shoot four five shot groups, one in to each of the circles. All shots must be made from a standing postion. Aimpoints may be added to the circles to assist your shooting. Photograph measure and submit your best groups measured center to center in MM's. Extreme! This months EXTREME class will be a long range challenge similar to last months 40 yard competition but at an extended 60 yard range, for all those who can clear a woodies lug hole at a grand ( only joking ). Target:http://www.targetz.c...tzlib/10001.pdf Info: Shoot ten shots into the red center circle. As many practice shots as desired allowed, but not on the same target as the target used in entry. Shots can be made from any position. Marked Center to center. .22 beats .177. Standing beats rested. Any issues or problems, do not reply to here just PM me, and i will make any amendments or changes.

  10. Just a few pics of a trip out on my farm after harvest. We starting friday morning blowing in the rape on standing corn, combining from 10 and finished the 400acres with 200 subsoiled and driled by 10pm, using 2 Class combines with 35ft headers. So couldnt pass up a trip on the stuble. Although i forgot my mod (very stupid) so had to use mates rifles .22-250 instead of my.223 broke the lamp and had to bodge another with diff conectors onto mine we came out with 3 foxes and 2 misses. My fault being over adventerous. Picked two ont he spot and the third next day just in some brambles but only adrenaline coud have taken it in. attachment=69953:foxbox.jpg]
