Fen Tiger put up a video on the patterning thread of some good 80 yards patterns with number 1 steel shot achieved buy not slitting the wad four ways but cutting two flaps for around two thirds of the wad from third down from top to the base to act as air brakes. Any of you reloader tried this ? It could be a way of getting good long range patterns and short shot strings without tight chokes or wad strippers. Be great for people who like more open choke for duck shooting to be able to take the longer shots st geese and passing duck.
