  1. Morning everyone, I am a new member to pigeon watch, however my shooting compadre and I have been shooting for over 30 years. I have joined pigeon watch in the hope that one of its member may be able to help identify a 'rough shoot' either on or within a 50 mile radius of the Wirral, as the one we previously used in Angelsey has now unfortunately closed. My colleague Matt and I are really keen rough shooters and we would be incredibly grateful if anyone could help us out. many thank Mike
  2. Hi Guys, I've shot clays a few times and I've decided it's a sport I would like to get into. I'm from North Yorkshire and I was wondering if anyone knew of any clubs in the area (rather than just experience day type venues) I found one in Barwick-in-Elmet which seems excellent (£35 for 50 clays including instructor, gun hire and cartridges). You turn up for 3 of the instructor led sessions and then you can become a member if they think you're competent (I'm not a certificate holder) This is the kind of thing I'm after, and it's a very good option, but I was wondering if there's something very similar a little closer to home that someone on here may know of? In due course, I'd like to become a certificate holder and a club closer to home would mean that it's easier to go down the range on a Sunday if I get board if I do eventually own my own firearm/become a certificate holder. Cheers! Ian
  3. Great day out at Hazelbank Shooting ground in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire with my gun and camera...
  4. Hello all, I am advertising these days for a loyal member of Lancashire Field Sports (FB Group). Location - West Yorkshire Dates - Various, mainly Wednesday and Saturdays Cost - £125 per gun Deposits - £125 per gun Terrain - Moor land Bag Limit - 5 brace (based on 8 guns) Unlimited woodcock, snipe, duck, pigeon and rabbit I have personally been on a day and loved it. Excellent ground, plenty grouse. I witnessed over 150 on the day and some of the other guns reckoned easily over 250. Tough day out on the moor with the guns, dogs, and lunch strapped to your back. PM for more details. Yes we are aware this is cheap for grouse shooting, get it whilst you can for this season. More information on the Facebook page Game Shooting UK. Thanks in advance. BRNDL
  5. Looking for shooting permissions for me and my 12g. Pretty new so will consider anything.
